- Faculties are very skilled and have a vast amount of knowledge.
Dislikes
- One of the thing is double occupancy of our hostels.
- As campus is under construction so it is a bit dusty.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Chemical engineering being a fairly old course have a great scope in core. The curriculum is not too rigorous and you get time to explore yourself in other domains too. Exams are taken in every 1.5 months and quizzes are mostly weekly or one in 2 weeks.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are offered in third year. You can get internship in Campus as well as out of campus. Being in IIT you get internships with good stipend and there are also chances for getting PPOs. There are many project opportunities in campus on which you can work on to get a better edge to get good internship and placements.
Placement Experience :
Students become eligible for campus placements from 4th year. Companies like Goldman Sachs, Google, Dshaw, Flipkart and many other companies visit the campus for placement and offers made by them average upto 18-20 LPA. Percentage of students getting placed are above 90%. I would like to get a job experience for atleast 2 years and then go for higher studies.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure is as follows For a general category Btech student - Tution fee= 100000 Examination fee= 500 Registration fee= 500 Gymkhana fee= 1500 Medical fee= 1500 Benevolent fund= 300 Lab research fee= 500 Semester Mess fee= 14950 Accomodation fee= 16000 Student welfare fee= 1500 This is semester wise fee for a general category students. You can get scholarship on the basis of your category.
Campus Life :
IIT's being famous for it's campus life live upto it's name. There are many cultural and technical events that are being held in the campus throughout the year. The annual techno cultural fest of IIT Indore, Fluxus,is the largest fest of Central India held in the month of March. There are many sports events held too like general championship, and inter hostel compititions. There are many clubs that you can join to explore yourself in different fields. There is a very big library that you can access offline as well as in online mode.
Hostel Facilities :
We have double occupancy, a fan, bed, study table and chair is provided in the room. You share 2 toilets and 2 bathrooms among 8 people. Electricity rent is included in accomodation charges. Mess is decent and the quality of food is kept in check, menu changes monthly so that students don't get bored. Hostel rates are affordable and registration is done with your admission in the college. It is compulsory to stay in campus hostels for every student.
Admission :
For admission in IIT you should complete in JEE examination and clear JEE Mains and JEE advanced. Examination dates and forms are available on their official websites and anyone giving class 12th examination or has given a year ago is eligible to compete in this. Exam is taken once a year. Difficulty of JEE Mains is moderate while JEE advanced is hard and more conceptual. You have to study consistently and have your subjects conceptually strong.
