THE MESRA REVIEW

Dislikes

  • Exams are conducted on a relatively regular basis.
  • The classes are from morning to evening which becomes tiring.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I enrolled in the mech branch based on my jee rank, and I was also interested in this subject, therefore this was the most influential factor in my decision to enrol in this college department. The college has excellent faculty members that assist students whenever possible and collaborate in all conditions. I don't believe there is any area that need development because it is improving on a daily basis, whether in terms of placement or curriculum. Exam frequency should be lowered to relieve burden on students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition costs at a private institute are rather exorbitant and unaffordable for many middle-class students. The four-year education costs around 16 lakh rupees (including dorm and mess expenses). I don't get any scholarships.

Campus Life :

The college's student groups host a number of regular events, such as the yearly Bitotsav and the Tech Fest Pantheon. The library is excellent and offers about all the books a student could ever require. The classrooms have excellent infrastructure and projectors. This place has good sporting facilities. Clubs function effectively as well.

Hostel Facilities :

The room features a bed, a table, a chair, and a wardrobe. After the first year of double sharing, we move into single rooms at the hostel. The mess meal is reasonably priced and serves a well-balanced lunch to students nationwide. Hostel registration takes place at the time of entrance.

Admission :

The criteria for the course I enrolled in, CSE branch, was JEE mains cutoff. There is no separate application form published for admission. After passing JEE, one can apply for admission through JOSAA. The college administers several exams and tests on a regular basis, such as two quizzes every semester, a midterm exam, and an end-of-semester exam. Aside from them, we must submit assignments, do lab quizzes, and take lab tests. I suppose the admissions procedure does not require any adjustments.

The placements are declining day by day. In 2022 the average package was around 14lpa and highest was 56lpa but after that it has decreased significantly. Percentage of students have also declined . In ECE around 80% students get placed with an average package of 11lpa . Companies like Nvidia do visit the campus.

After the completion of 3 rd years, students are eligible for placement. About 10 companies came when I was there and they don't have soo many offers. The highest package of 10 lakh waa given to our best student in computer science the average package was 5-6 lakh that's the average package of most colleges here it is the same. The placements of students were quite average about 70 % cause most of the students get diverted. I planned to go in some other field apart from engineering.
