Course Curriculum Overview :

Currently I 'm in chemical engineering branch. Earlier I had thought of choosing computer science. But then I think I should do some innovative and decided to go for this core branch. Practicals is the only way we can learn and better understand the process happening in chemical engineering. Our institution has tied up with the TATA steel, so from 3rd year onwards we will have a session of steel plants.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship from 3rd year. Our college has tied up with TATA STEEL industries only. So till now I had'nt experience this. But from next year, I will be eligible. Average stipend amount is around 18000.

Placement Experience :

Very few Chemical students got placed. Almost 50% students placed. Companies that visited are Voltas , infosys, Accenture, Bosch. Average package is 3.8 lakh.

College Events :

Tech fest are organized time to time. Branch wise we had different competitions. Best debate, Election , best student,best player, best faculty. We had our football team as well. Third year and fourth year seniors play in that. Organisation has full support in the players and they also believe in them.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

My parents had paid the First year fee. And from second year I had taken an education loan of 4 lakhs . One year fee of our institution is 1,30,000.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

State wise we had scholarship scheme. I didn't avail it . College gives us the bona-fide certificate, then only we have taken loan from outside.

Hostel Facilities :

Firstly, I reside outside the hostel. There are 3 hostels are there. Old hostel allow 3 students in a single room and we have to pay 65000. New hostel allow 2 students in a single room and we have to pay 75000. Last hostel is the apartment hostel consisting of single and A. c room. Amount to be pay is 100000.No PGs are allowed. In each of the food item, you will feel less salt. People of orissa eat less salt.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni are very much helpful. They share their experiences and thoughts. Till now college has not provide much interaction session. But alumni are always there to help in the development of college.

Faculty :

Many faculties are from IITS and NITS. All the faculties are friendly, supportive. Once in a month, we have an interaction session in which problems or difficulties are discussed. Projectors are also there, to elaborate the practical scenario of the process.

According to seniors , placements are good and decent comparing to other nits . After 6 semester , company are hiring for placements . Many companies has visited more than enough . Highest package I seen in 23 is 1.12 CR in rubrik from senior . My plans after degree is doing sde job at company.

KIIT- The Real Truth Of College

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is similar to all the colleges. but the extra curricular facilities provided by the college, differen societies present in differen domain will help you in growing your skills and knowledge in your sector. College keep organising tech fest, alumini meet, and global awareness meeting to keep the students up to date with present world. Course curriculum can be improved, I personally think, many new elective subjects are added which are not beneficial for my stream CSE.And the attendace is very compulsury for getting ood marks. Smart Boards and White Board teaching ares used which depends on teacher's choice. There is normally two exams in a semester , midsem of 20 marks in time 1hr 30 min, and endsem exam of 50 marks in 3 hr, and the rest marks depend on subject faculty. Mostly examination level is normal , if you are good student you can cover the syllabus in 1 week before exam.

Good facilities that needs to be grabbed.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario for now it not that good. There is regression going on so the companies aren't taking that many students. From the 3rd year you are eligible for placements. 450 companies came this year for placements making 5200 job offers. The highest placement this year was 63 lacs by Yugabyte. Average CTC is 8.5 lacs in all streams. Mass recruiters like Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, Mindtree, Bosch, Ericsson, IBM etc. Many other notable companies that visited are Bain & Company, CME group, DE shaw & co, JP Morgan Chase etc. According to kiit website, 90% students are placed. 2100 students also got internships via capstone route. My plans after getting the degree is to do a job for some years and then after getting some experience I want to do a startup.
