Course Curriculum Overview :
NITK's curriculum is very structured and well-enhanced to ensure maximum benefit for future engineers graduating from here. Faculty are world-class educators and very well-versed in all the subjects. They have deep knowledge of their core subjects and explain it lucidly so every student can understand and work on it. Exams are conducted in a way that helps students get more time to study and write the exams. They provide us with ample free time so that we can work on the subject and other side hustles. The curriculum of NITK is advanced enough to prepare a student for the future and tackle any modern-day problem.
Placement Experience :
Placements are top notch in our college we have a legacy of more than 50 years in placement an average of almost 95% of the students get placed every year and there is 5% of students go abroad for mtech and other higher studies.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Our College offers many internships, allowing students to learn and experience problems in the future. Many Multinational companies will visit NITK to hire software engineers, web developers, app developers, and cyber security engineers. Companies like Microsoft, Oracle, Facebook, Amazon, Intel, Adobe, Walmart, IBM, Google, and Dell visit our campus to recruit. More than 90% of students get hired, and they excel in the field. A particular cell called the School of Management ensures everyone attends recruitment and gets selected.
Campus Life :
Our College has two annual fests, one in the odd sem called engineer, which is a technical fest, and one being incident one of India's most significant cultural fest. We have two of the most extensive libraries open for almost 16 hours. They have all the books and journals required for a student to excel in his studies. Nearly 90000 books are available of all genres and subjects to all professors, undergraduates, postgraduates, and Ph.D. scholars. NITK has the fastest wifi 24/7 and the best modern projector, allowing the teacher to present innovatively and make students understand better. NITK has the three most significant sports events and all the required equipment. We are encouraged to take part in everything and Excel overall. Physical health is given importance at NITK.
Hostel Facilities :
Rooms are enormous and sufficient for two people to stay and study. We have a bed, chair, and table that are all modern and available. Our washrooms are spotless, and water is available 24/7. The mess is very clean and hygienic. They provide the best quality food that concentrates on delivering all the nutrients required for a balanced diet. We always have wifi and ethernet so that we can study anytime. The current is never cut, and there is a generator to ensure it. But one thing NITK needs to include, sadly, is it can't provide hot water to students. But at the same time, the climate is always humid, so we don't need hot water to bathe.
Admission :
Admission process from JOSAA was very smooth and effective. The counseling process is very structured. They had a mock round allotment of seats, and then they had the actual seat allotment process, which helped me understand how counseling works and the option entry and seat acceptance process. They had six rounds to ensure everyone got what they deserved according to their percentile. NITK officials were very supportive and available throughout the admission process and helped us fill in all the details and documents related to the hostel, mess, and college. They had an orientation for around one week so that all the students could get to know the college's facilities and make new friends. We also had an induction program where we visited all the departments and learned about them in detail. Overall, NITK provided the best admission experience for new students.
