Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course to be a part in technical field. I know technology is one of the fast growing field. So I took Information Technology as my btech course. Professors should try to consider below average students also.

Class Size : 75Course Fees : INR 4000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Intership opportunities are not bad but not good. There is nothing which is based on skkill development. Every intership is for skill developed students. Not for beginners. Being a btech student means a beginner so considerations are expectable. Not we are not getting that cosnideration. But one or two intership opportunities are for 1st yrs which is for skill development

Placement Experience :

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Ust, infosys, quest, tcs are the companies visists us with offers. Highest average package provided by companies are 5 lakh. Till 2022 75% students got placed. But this year it is less than 70% and it gives us anxiety. My plans after degree is to get a job but i have to work for it.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Actually i don't have to pay much. I just pais 2205 rupees as my semester 2 exam fee. But i didn't applied for any scholarships. Our campus provide best placements but package is less and this year placement opportunities was very less.

Campus Life :

Our college has a good potential to organize amazing programmes. But our honourable principal doesn't allow us to conduct anything. Not even a technical event. Our college doesn't have a sports ground. It's a very small campus and no: of classrooms are very less. Some students are studying in mechanical block in this hot weather without proper ventilation and all. We have many technical societies like IEEE CSI ISTE etc to improve skills and it is very helpful.

Hostel Facilities :

Its average. But its a dormetry shared hy 10 students. Food hygiene and guality is very poor. Bathroom facilities also. But it's affordable. They should provide hot water facilities for drinking. Registration process for college hostel has done through the administration office. But they hesitate to provide rooms for students who comes from 70-80 kms away. Being a day scholar is not easy by waking up at 5 am and reaching home at 7 pm. Rooms and bathrooms should've increased.

Hostel Fee : INR 3000 per year

Admission :

I got admission in GEC bartonhill on the basis of my Kerala Engineering And Medical(KEAM) entrance exam. There's no reservation for me. Everything was Completely based on academics. To be honest, i didn't faced any problems during my admission process. I got alloted on this college on the first allotment itself. So i didn't faced much difficulties. Admission processes was so smooth and everything went normally.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
