- i like the campus area, area is large and here so many facilities like lab, library ,canteen all are good . for sports indoor and outdoor are there.and gym is also there.
- faculty in all departments are very helpful and teach very well . from different state students are coming for their education . students are offered opportunities for hands on learning through project and internships.
Dislikes
- attendence criteria of 75% is the major drawback
- and unavailability of local markets near by place of campus. As for small things we have to go for market which is far away from college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Educational instituions often strive to maintain relevance and comprehensiveness as NIST is always good at this. Area of improvement for curriculum at NIST berhampur could be increased integration of practical,hands on learning and experiences such as internships,projects,and industry collaborations.here a balance schedules between student and faculty to ensure assessment and learning.
Internships Opportunities :
college provides summer internships of 2 months of programm. we also done industrial internships outside of college. we recently done nptel course. some students are done internship from IIT,NIT. the projects are depending fields of study like research,analysis,problem solving.
Placement Experience :
from third semester students become eligible for campus. company visited are pwc,wipro,tata,western digital . highest package is 19.15lpa and average is 6lpa. about 80% of students placed in our college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
for b.tech 1.62 lakhs with 10+2+jee main is required. the highest and average package offered INR 19.20LPA and INR 6 LPA respectively. the companies visits our college are infosys,wipro,myntra,tech mahindra,pwc. scholarships offered by NIST are sibling Scolarship,merit Scolarship,etc.
Campus Life :
Annual and technical festivals are including sankalp with technical workshop And there are so many clubs including REC, astronomy , ehc,excel,nss,ncs and ncc .projector facility and smart classes are available.
Hostel Facilities :
in our hostel both ac and non ac rooms are available. inside rooms fans and lights are good .1,3,4 sheated rooms are available. meal quality and food is also good. registration process for hostel is good.
Admission :
for registration ,candidates needs to submit the entrace exam score for the respective test they have appeared for admission to different courses.institutions shall include the performance in class 12 equivalent qualifying examinations and in joint entrance examination ,JEE(main).overall admission process is good
