I like the campus, the greenery that we have here is magnificent and it is very good to see
I like the ffcs system with that I can choose any slot i want to take so it is quite efficient

The food stalls that we have here have no hygeine that I hate
Few guards are so rude to us that we want to slap them but we control ourselves

Course Curriculum Overview :

It's good in my opinion as we have something like ffcs full form fill flexible credit system in which you can decide which subject you want to study in this semester and you can also choose the time slot for the classes and teachers ,, and we also have labs in which we do pratical works so we get prepared for the real world.

Class Size : 55Course Fees : INR 198000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Vit chennai has a long relationships with different companies so it have many opportunities for the internships program that's why regularly we get the opportunities for the internships form various companies

Placement Experience :

The placements are enough to be in this college i guess the things that we hear from our seniors is that even if we have mechanical branch we have to learn coding of we want a nice placement so scope for mechanical field is typical but other than that it is fine

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

We are decided into categories according to the branches we got in the counciling and ranks that we got in the entrance exam , we have total 5 categories In 1st category the fee structure is like 198000 is the tuition fees and 114000 is for the hostel room and 71000 for the veg mess .

Campus Life :

We have like 125 different clubs including technical, cultural and many more clubs and day after day we have events which are related to the respective clubs so there's always something fun to do in the campus and the campus is also lovely filled with the trees and the greenery is quite good and comment do a good work in managing them , so overall it is good .

Hostel Facilities :

We have different kinds of hostel here in the campus , we have literally 4-5 hostels in which girls hostel is included and about facilities except food everything is good cleaning staff is well aware of they tasks and warden is a bit strict but except that it is funny..

Hostel Fee : INR 201000 per year

Admission :

You have to fill up the form of an entrance exam called viteee to get admission in the vellore institute of technology , for any branch , then there will be counciling if you have passed the viteee entrance exam ,, in which according to your rank you will be given the college branch and category.

Placement Experience:

Students starting placed from their last semester. Reputed companies gave an offer. Like tcs, Accenture, Infosys, etc. The highest package will be 60k and minimum 25k. 98% got placed before completing the degree. 55% above is the minimum for placement if you want to be placed in a high package of salary Job.

SASTRA College Life- An Amazing Experience

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
