- The teachers are really helpful and friendly of our department( biochem)...they know when to be strict too and they make sure if we learn properly or not
- Festivals and picnic areanged by department and union...you wont have a monotonous life
Dislikes
- The minor classes are held rarely...cant get much information about studies...most of the time department is closed
- At first I used to dislike our own teachers as they were really really strict towards us , and wanted us to be pitch perfect...but later realised it was for our own good...but the first month scared the hell out of me
Course Curriculum Overview :
If you're interested in chemistry and biology both and you're confused what subject you should study...biochemistry is a good option for you. The teachers will make you the best for further higher studies even if you are not really good
Internships Opportunities :
I still didn't have any internship opportunities but as im still in the first year...but im sure there will be one as there would be one...I heard the morning section of our college ( vidyasagar womens) will have a internship this summer (zoology) ...I'll update if i have any internship opportunities
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Admission fees for biochemistry is 14490 rs, and in the first semester the exam fees will be 775rs.If you want private tutions., it'd cost you 1000 from the first year later it'll increase.for further information you can contact the seniors..scholarship like SVMCM and minorities are available
Campus Life :
There are two library's avaliable for students and one small playing ground too where you can play football or whatever you like.there are lots of festivals starting from the freshers ...the UNION of the college manages these really well , and most importantly if you are in the biochemistry department...there would be a picnic arranged by the department and you'll get a department fresher and farewell too
Admission :
Eligibility to apply for biochemistry is you must have physics and chemistry in 11th and 12th class and you have to score more than 55% in the HS examination...you can apply for the course through the college website
