The best nit of north india

Remarks :

The good thing is the placements. The bad thing is that lack of sports facilities. The college management is very irresponsible they would like you to move round and round for just a single work.

Entrance Preview :

Firstly I come from Bihar so you would prefer to remain in a college in north India. So Motilal Nehru nit Allahabad is the ranked 1 college of north India. I got information technology here on my jee mains score. The placements of computer science and engineering, as well as information technology, were incredibly high.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course organization of the btech curriculum is best in the all the ways. We have credits for each subject and accordingly classes are taken. In first year all the basic subjects are taught which are divided as 1.mechanical semesters 2.Chemistry semester Along with these all students are taught physics maths ecology computer programming. We have exams in the pattern of: each semester -20 marks midsem 60 marks end sem 20 marks are given on teacher assessment. From second semester branch specific topics are taught. So the curriculum here is apt for engineering.

Internships Opportunities :

For the internship, our college is the best as more than 260 companies visited here. The students here start getting an internship in their second year only. Recently a senior got interned at gsoc with a stipend of over 5 lakhs per month. On an average, all students get the stipend from different companies in the range of 20k to 1.6lakhs. So it is the heaven for students who seek placement.

College Events :

They are many events in our college which are as follows: 1)avishkar: the annual techno and management fest. 2)Swagat: the festival welcoming the freshers 3)Culrav:the cultural fest of our college 4)Spandan: the fashion show 5)Athletic meet: the athletic event 6)Josh and jlal: the sports event In all the above events many different colleges participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees for BTech is around 69k per semester for people whose family income is above 5 lakh per annum. For people whose family income is between 1 lakh per annum to 5 lakh per annum, the fees are around 26k per semester. For those whose family income is less than 1 lakh, the fees are around 6.5k. For sc/st almost all fees is reimbursed as per government norms. the fees are feasible because mostly all the funds are provided by the government.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

See already the fees is quite low so you don't require the loan to pay your fees. So talking about the scholarship they provide the scholarship to students whose jee rank was under 4k. Then one can apply for the scholarship under the national scholarship portal which provides you scholarship around 10k per year. moreover, state scholarship is also given. And loan facilities are also available.

Campus Life :

The campus life is not up to par as first year boys and all year girls have time restrictions of 8:30 pm. So they are not able to indulge in many activities. But when you are in second or third or final you have the liberty to do anything in the evening as we get only time during the evening. Talking about extracurricular activities we have a proper robotics class which teaches us. A computer club,a aeromodelling club, gnosis quizzing club,a literary club, music and drama club and many more clubs which enhances our personality.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel here are quite old only one hostel svbh is new.we have a total of 9 hostels with 2 hostels for girls.in first year you get the megahostel svbh.the mess fees is around 15 k per semester which is very low as in mnnit non veg food is not served. The mess workers are quite good, they make decent food which can be consumed.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni network is good but not best. But the senior students helps a lot as most of the extralearning things are taught by them. Only time you can interact with your alumni is when they host alumni meet in the college.

Exam Structure :

Exams were bit tougher than usual and we had mid-sem and end-sem.so 2 exams per semester with no gaps between any two subjects. The marking scheme is like 20 marks midsem, 60 marks endsem, and most importantly 20 marks teachers assessment. The faculties teaches you very nicely so they ask you the best question to check your understanding.

Admission :

For getting into any of these national institute of technology, firstly a student should take physics chemistry and maths as their primary subject. Then you should meet the minimum percentile creteria i.e.get 75% in your respective board or be in the top 20 percentile among your board student. Then you need to appear for joint entrance examination conducted by cbse. And score a decent marks to get your desired branch.

Faculty :

The team of faculties here are just phenomenal because in my csed department most of the proffessors who teaches us have done phd from iits and with atleast 20 years of teaching experience. The assistant professor are also good enough take our tutorials classes. Many research paper are published. The faculties in our college are very supporting.
