Course Curriculum Overview :

In Sociology Department , Whole MA syllabus based on UGC NET JRF syllabus, Department focus more on Research Methodology and in every semester have to do some research dissertation. If anyone focus on MA syllabus , they will get good commad on UGC NET EXAM

Class Size : 40Course Fees : INR 6000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tution Fees - 1500/- per semester for General Category student . And other charges are 3000 per semester . Total -4500 /- per sem . There are no scholarship available in this institution for Outside UP students. Outside UP students get Hostel easily.

Campus Life :

Library facilities are very good , 24*7 library is open. But for Girls students, Library access till 10.00 pm . There are multiple club like poetry club, Debate club, Music club, Dance club, Yoga Club etc .

Admission :

In BBAU , Minimum eligibility for MA Sociology is graduate in any subject . Admission process was through CUET PG exam . 50% seat is reserved for SC-ST candidate . I had scored 240/400 in Cuet Pg and get selected in BBAU in 3rd Merit list .

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is very helpful for students preparing for government jobs. Ancient history is one of the core subjects. The curriculum is good. Although we find it hard now and then but most students know the importance it holds. It is indeed difficult to pass the exams because it gets hectic. By the time T1 is over T2 and mid sem and viva are there. So all this is hard but hard work brings success.

Placement Experience:

In amu there a lot of companies visiting during placement time like samsung , tata (Tisco), Facebook, Mera, Intel and many more big companies to come and choose you. The normal package in amu like you. You can easily get 4-5 LPA and if we talk about the highest then it's going in crores. The percentage of students who are getting placed at Aligarh Muslim University it's like about 70-80% in every year and getting also good placements. Now iam doing my masters in history after that I want to do PhD in history in ancient fields and speciality to become a professor.

My college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really wanted to know about human civilisation and worlds history. How civilisations took the shape and how we reached at this point where we are standing today. From the very beginning how things got linked to each other and now we can know about these things . The curriculum don't prepare you for real world application as such but if you want to do research or want to peruse phd then you have to be more responsible while choosing this course from this college because we can see the research scholars here , they are like personal assistant of professors. The curriculum should be more practical and teaching method should be more convenient, professors should teach it with some passion and more involvement of students . Our exam is semester based and the beside semesters there are internals , assignment , mid semester and viva and all and in all this you don't have time for any other activity . Exams should be held between propers gaps otherwise you read and write exams not learn.
