- Best modern day looking buildings with are clean and they equipped with light sensor to save lot of energy.
Dislikes
- Climate is a little humid and sometimes unbearable which makes this place a little unpleasant.
- Campus is very big around 300 acres which makes us walk around a lot but keeps us fit.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Nitk curriculum is very structured and well enhanced, to ensure maximum benefit for the future engineer's graduating from here. The faculty are world class educators and very well versed with all the subjects. They have deep knowledge of their core subjects and they explain it in a very lucid manner so that every student can understand and work upon it. Exams are conducted in a way that helps students get more time to study and write the exams. They provide us with ample free time so that we can work on the subject as well as other side hustle's. The curriculum of NITK is advanced enough to prepare a student for future and tackle any modern day problem .
Internships Opportunities :
NITK provides lot of internship offers which allows the students to learn and experience the problems upcoming in future. Many Multi national company will visit NITK to hire software engineers, web developers, app developers, cyber security engineers. Companies like Microsoft, oracle, Facebook, amazon , Intel, Adobe , Walmart , IBM , Google and Dell visit our campus to recruit almost more than 90% students get hired and they exceed in the field given. Their is a special cell called school of management that ensures everyone attends recruitment and gets selected.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is not a lot of change in the tuition fee around 60000 per sem and the mess food is around 40000 . The mess is very clean and hygiene they provide the best quality food that concentrates on providing all the nutrients required for a balanced diet. NITK provides scholarship to all the students whose income is less and socially backward. PHD students get a stipend of around 10k to work on their topic of interest. They also provide lot of events so that one can participate and win lot of prizes so that they can win lot of prizes. This helps to improved their social, techical, communicative skills.
Campus Life :
NITK has two annual fests one in the odd sem called engineer which is a technical fest and one being incident one of the biggest cultural fest of India. We have two biggest libraries which are open for almost 16 hours. They have all the books and journals required for a student so that he can excel in his studies. Almost 90000 books are available of all genre and subjects, available to all the professors, undergraduates, post graduates and PhD scholars. NITK has the fastest wifi 24/7 and best modern projector which allow the teacher to present in a innovative way and make students understand better. NITK has three biggest sports events and all required equipments for all sports. We are encouraged to take part in everything and Excel overall. Physical health is given importance at NITK
Hostel Facilities :
Our room are very big and sufficient for two people to stay and study. We have a bed and chair and table with all modern availability. Our washroom are very clean and water is available 24/7. The mess is very clean and hygiene they provide the best quality food that concentrates on providing all the nutrients required for a balanced diet. we have wifi and ethernet all the time so that we can study anytime. Current is never cut and there is a generator to ensure it . But one thing NITK lacks sadly is it can't provide hot water to students. But on the same time the climate is always humid so we don't need hot water to bath.
Admission :
The admission process was very smooth and effective from JOSAA. The counciling process is very structured ,they had a mock round allotment of seat and then they had the actual process of seat allotment which helped me understand how counciling works and understand the option entry and seat acceptance process.They had six rounds to ensure everyone get what they deserve according to their persentile.NITK officials were very supportive and available throughout the admission process and helped us fill all the details and documents related to hostel, mess and college. They had a orientation of around 1 week so that all the students get to know the facilities of the college and make new friends. We also had an induction programme where we visited all the departments and get to know about them in detail. Overall NITK provided the best experience in admission for new students.
