Course Curriculum Overview :
The Course Curriculum here at IIM Kashipur is excellent. The faculties are always ready to solve any queries we get and even the curriculum is designed in such a way that even a student who doesn't have much knowledge about business and it's functions could learn it from the base up. We are given real-world case studies to solve. Apart from that there are many projects where we have to conduct interviews of the industry leaders to know how the industries are functioning and how to use our knowledge outside. No changes are required in the curriculum currently as we are getting all kinds of knowldge we go for field visits to different industries and also there is scope for research. The exams are also short. They are mostly open books where we are given real-life cases, and we would have to solve them and get feedback on our solutions to know which approach is right or wrong. There are two exams each trimester, which helps us implement what we have learned.
Internships Opportunities :
The roles mostly offered are -Sales -Business Analyst -Market Research -Product Manager -Project Manager All the roles have an average stipend of 30000pm and the maximum stipend of 150000pm The process generally is very easy .
Placement Experience :
The Placements are good here. Many good Companies come for placement and internships. The Average package offered is 17lpa, and the highest is 25lpa. The college has a record of 100% placement, where all the students get placed in renowned companies and get a good package. The college has a good ROI.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The Total Fees of our Batch is 1800000 for the whole course which includes the Hostel Fees, fees, books etc. The Mess Fees are charged separately depending on the food consumed and have to be paid every trimester. Apart from this, many scholarships have come from government, banks, etc and even our college provides merit-based, need-based and need + merit-based scholarship. Along with this, around the year, you can apply for live projects sent out by college for which you can work and earn, and it is very easily manageable as you have to give 3-4 hours per week and make 8-10 K. One can also participate in inter and intercollege events and earn cash prizes. I would say it is a fairly affordable course
Campus Life :
There are a lot of events taking place on the campus around the year. Our College Fest Agnitraya happens in Jan every Year with Cultural Events, Business Events, Star Nights, Comedy Nights, and DJ Nights. We have had Nikhil D. Souza, King, etc, on Campus for Star Night. Apart from that Acadmic and Interest based club events also happen around the year and its very fun to participate in those. The college's infrastructure is excellent, and we can even see mountains at some times of the year. We have a lake, pond, and a lot of greenery inside the campus.
Admission :
I found the admission process easier (Level Medium on Difficulty scale). The process started with the CAT application form, then the CAT exam, followed by a call letter for an Interview and then the selection email. The Interview was mostly about my experience and scenario-based questions like how would you do in a particular situation, etc. The Main aspect of the admission process that I didn't like was at the beginning there needed to be more clarity on how the process would go on, what kind of questions would be asked, and mainly the timeline of the events(i.e. Interviews and the various mails).
Interview Experience :
For admission to the MBA Analytics course in IIM Kashipur, there is the CAT cut-off, which you would have to clear, and it changes with time and you will get the interview call. In the interview, they mostly ask questions based on your experience (if you have any), Current Events, and Situation-Based Questions. At my interview, I was asked about the current events happening in tech (Due to my technical background); which is your Favourite Tech company and why? What new is happening in that company? Name 5 Indian CEOs. Why MBA? What if the Team Member needs to learn how to do a work or they are taking extra time to do something? How will you manage it? These are some of the types of questions that I was asked. Preparation: For Current events: I read the newspaper daily. I installed Mint and inshort apps to keep me updated with business, finance, and tech news. For Situation-Based Questions, I read a lot about what kinds of questions are asked in MBA Interviews and how to answer them.
