Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well maintained. There is some lack of permanent faculties in the Civil branch particularly which might be a source of problems but in rest of the branches , faculties are available and well qualified and also supportive towards students. We have semester based exams and there are two semesters per year.
Internships Opportunities :
There are opportunities that are posted on the college e-mails for students to apply to. There is no internship cell as such but some alums of the college have their own startups that come for hiring interns from the college itself, such as Feedbox etc. E-Cell is also there for helping budding entrepreneurs. Some of the companies that come for placements also offer internship opportunities.
Placement Experience :
The placements offered by the college are good. there is a centralized placement cell that supports the students for there placements. Big names in the IT industry also come to the college for placements. Deutsche Bank, ZS Associates, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture etc. all come to the college for placements. The placement report of the college is also good.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Sem fees system : Approx. Rs40000 for each Sem , + Rs. 22500/yr for hostel. Some students get full scholarship from MMVY and other schemes. The college has a centralized placement cell, that provides students with placement opportunities with good companies. I got placed in 3 tech companies, despite being from a civil background.
Campus Life :
The experience was great at IET-DAVV. There are so many technical as well as cultural fests organised round the year and students get to organize all of it themselves. There is a lot of learning that happens in these events. Invento, Aahvaan, Aakshank and Raas are some of the well known events that happen every year. There are art clubs, dramatics club -Pratyaksh, E-Cell, Feedbox and many activities are organised by these clubs. ISC is another major sports event of IET which is again full of thrilling and amazing moments where we had a lot of fun. All these activities and clubs are student run and make a huge impact on the lives of students.
Hostel Facilities :
I lived in the college hostel itself, the rent was 22500 per year+ mess charges. There are double sharing rooms with sufficient space, tables, chairs, cupboard and a bed. The washrooms were common. There is an option to take a single room from 2nd yr onwards. The cleanliness is okayish. Not very clean but ok. There are a lot private hostels nearby. Food quality in the mess was also okayish.
Admission :
I took the JEE-Mains exam for getting admission into IET-DAVV. Then I enrolled for counselling through MPDTE website. I filled in my preferences. Based on my rank I got EC in RGPV in the first and second round. In third round I got Civil in IET-DAVV. I am a an unreserved category candidate. There is another exam for DAVV which gets you admission in the 5 year course of engineering at DAVV. You can search for it.
