Course Curriculum Overview :

- As I belong from Mining area so it influenced me to gain knowledge and work on it for betterment of environment and society - The theory knowledge that is provided in the college is very primitive which need to be updated. - More and more industrial visit would gain more knowledge and should be adopted to present methods of mining knowledge. - Semester in each 4 months and difficulty level is fair enough.

Internships Opportunities :

- All companies of mining Industry and there is no such stipend. - Internship Projects and Industrial Visit projects - The maximum duration for internship approved by college is only 30 days. - College doest help much with the internship.

Placement Experience :

- After 6th Semester - As i belong from Mining Branch so companies such as VEDANTA, JSW , ADANI, IMFA, GMDC , KCCL etc - Highest package 16 lakh and average is 3-4 lakhs. - About 50% of students are placed - Mtech if I will able to score good rank in GATE examination orelse will opt for JOB.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

- Tution fee is constant till now. - Including all expences around 4 lakhs for complete Btech Course. - Post Matric Scholarship, Kalia Scholarship and many more and amount is based on category. For General and OBC around 20k and For SC/ST around 45k each year. - There are many post to take responsibility but there is no stipends.

Campus Life :

- Annual Fest (UTKARSH) around April and Respective Branch fest , Freshers and Farewell. - Library doesn't have all books and lacks the quantity of books. And there is no space to study in the library. You have to issue the book and read it in your room. - Faculty is good enough and almost every classroom is digitalised. - Sports and extracurricular activity are held regularly but very few people are interested because the event doesn't happen in a grand way. And there is no proper ground for Sports and other stuff which is the worst any college could have. - official groups and pages are cretinous and that doesn't affect any student mentally.

Hostel Facilities :

- 3 person per room and provided with 3 beds and 3 study table. - Meal quality is not so good. It's adjustable for some days and its worst on some days. - Hostel Registration through college website and yah it's affordable but the price doesn't justify the facility. It's gives less facility as compare to the amount they took. - I have stayed in Mess during 2nd year and its the worst experience so i will suggest all to stay in hostel.

Admission :

- Good Rank in JEE - OJEE Website - ST/ST caste are selected with low ranks but no reservation for General and OBC Students. - Semester in each 4 months and the difficulty level is fair. - Admission through College Website will be better.

Placement Experience:

The college placement are quite good as per my knowledge as it provides the placement with the lowest lpa of 2.4LPA. they provide a particular class for placement guidance like how to crack the interview and all.

Placement Experience:

The placements of this college are good. The average package is 6 lacs per annum. Studnets from the 7th semester are available for campus placements. Many IT companies and food companies visit the campus. Food companies like OurFood Pvt Ltd, Heritage, Vishaka Dairy, Milky Moo come for placements. 70 of students get placed. The rest of them opt for higher studies. Many students get qualified in the Icar AIEEA Pg examination for pursuing a post-graduate degree. I am planning to pursue an M.Tech Dairy Technology course after completing my B.Tech degree.

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placement. Like Vedanta, MCL many more companies are visited and about 1 to 2 lakhs package they are giving. The highest package is 1crore and the average package is 7 to 8 lakhs rupees. About 90% of students getting placed. I want to job in MCL.

Remarks:

No bad remarks as all things are upto mark as expected.

Admission:

Admission process is through a exam arranged from the college itself which is KIITEE and based on the ranks you get at the exam they give you admission. I choose this institution for the vibes it has and the student friendly nature they carry. The steps to admission are too simple. You will have to fill a online form which is free of cost then give a online exam in the place allocated bu the institution then they will publish the result and give a individual rank and if selected they will call for a counselling process and there all the documents will be verified then you will be allocated to the hostels and all and they will give u a date when u will come with all your belongings for the final process.

Remarks:

The college is overall good, but its negativities would also be considered. If you really want to take admission here thinks twice. I would suggest to know in-depth about GIET and then, take admission here.

Remarks:

A big campus with a power packed sea of opportunities. Students can get a best college life here and can pursue any dream he/she want. Just a single problem is that Rourkela is not that a big city. Placements are good and are comparable with middle level IITs. You can easily achieve marks while having a life here.
