Course Curriculum Overview :
I would rate my course quite good as it provided invaluable knowledge and skills. One of the top aspect i got to know was the ranking of the biotechnology labs of my university, the machinery and equipments used was perfectly fit for all the experiments and skills to be headed. The one area I want to be improved is the subjects of the curriculum instead of advance level mathematics we as a biotech student should study probability and statistics it will be more helpful for future prospectives.
Placement Experience :
The placements are average, it mostly depends on a single individual according to their cgpa. In 7th semester the students become eligible for the placements. The companies are, Nestle, zop smart, Infosys, ZE, Accenture.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No scholarships and campus employment are available. The fee structure is comparatively high than other universities, I find the annual fee a little too high besides it increases every year with a percent of 5%
Campus Life :
Campus life is far good, it has all the facility available, mess food is edible. Apart from the studies the extra curriculars are great they make us confident and the stage fear is changed into stage confidence. There are many events but the main and the biggest event is LF (le fiestes) in which the whole university performs but the decorum is still maintained. Library sources are very nice and the journals are available of every course and extras too.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facilities are excellent as we have shop inside our hostels and blowers inside the room, every week the room is being cleaned by the maids and the security is also very tight which is a good thing. Meal of the mess is edible, it has a proper balance diet
Admission :
The admission process was quite easy and understandable, I first follow the website of the university and read about the admission criteria from there itself. The eligibility of my course (btech biotechnology) was to have PCB in +1 and +2 and about 70% in +2.
Other Applied Colleges
Chandigarh University - [CU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Biotechnology)
