Course Curriculum Overview :

The course has been renamed under Mumbai University guidelines but it is equivalent and similar to a Full-Time MBA course. Learning aspects include Statistics, Operations Management, Organisational Behaviour, Organisational Development, Financial Accounting etc. My own decision was to pursue HR as that field has been a long time aim and passion for me. The curriculum deals with Major aspects of real world organisational problems and solutions that occur on a day-to-day basis wherein plethora of available case studies & reference materials helps the student to get more in-depth knowledge. Curriculum improvement can be done by increasing regular interactions with industry experienced professionals and keeping in touch with the humongous alumni base. There is a mid term examination of 40 marks and a semester exam of 60 marks. 40 marks paper is for internal purposes and 60 marks paper includes university bases subjects in 3rd and 4th semester.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are available based on what industries the Majority of students are pursuing. Companies include but not limited to :- 1. Suryoday Small finance bank 2. Reliance Jio 3. Tech Mahindra 4. MG motors 5. Outlook Magazine 6. Axis Securities Etc. Projects are based on what industry requires. For e.g. My internship project was a study on the recruitment process of Suryoday Small Finance Bank. This was for HR specialisation and I gained immense knowledge through it.

Placement Experience :

Campus placement is available according to the industry standards and requirements. Highest Package of 2022-2024 batch :- Federal Bank - 14 LPA CTC (Marketing & Operations) Average Package - 5.5 LPA CTC Most students are placed earliest of Marketing followed by Finance, HR & Operations. Generally percentage of students getting placed is 90% except for cases during recession. Students are eligible to get placements from 3rd Semester. My plans after getting a degree include working for 3-4 years and then pursuing executive MBA from esteemed colleges of National and International Level.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure includes tuition, alumni registration, miscellaneous expenses. The structure does not change many times and may increase only when Value added courses are incubated in the college. There are no campus employment opportunities for students but there are majority of accepted scholarship schemes. These include :- Scholarships by Central Government Scholarships by State Government Scholarships by Social Justice & Welfare department. Category benefits are available for SC,ST,OBC,EBC,ESBC and other such candidates.

Campus Life :

There are two major annual fests Eminence - Organised by Students on the intercollegiate level. (Majorly in January) Alumni meet - Organised by students for their Alumni base. (Majorly in February) There is a login access for E-Library provided to students which has more than 35000+ books which can be increased on the basis of students request. Also has a physical library with good conditions of Books, Journals, NewsPapers (updated daily) The classrooms are very well equipped with digital screens for enhanced learning experience and AC classrooms with proper and comfortable seating arrangements. Sports are encouraged but not actively pursued in college, majorly during fests. Clubs include - Green Club - A nature associated club mostly do tree plantation and cleaning. Finance Club - Conducts "MunafaBazar" event for students as a fetè Rotaract Club - Active Club that increases participation in all events not only in college, but at national level with all equipped facilities

Hostel Facilities :

1. Hostel facility is available at 80,000/- per year with 4,000/- as a deposit amount. Majorly, this accommodation is NOT preferred by students doing PG as it is situated in another campus 3 KMS away from College Campus. 2. Areas nearby have many PGs for different budget sizes. 3. Rented accommodation is mostly preferred by students who have come from other parts of the state or country (Non-localites). Rent budget is flexible but it is an advice to visit at least a month before taking admission to sort out the rent and room requirements (majorly done through brokers) as peak season may show no availability of good and cheap rooms. Also nothing in Navi Mumbai or Mumbai is cheap according to other standards. Except for taste, food availability might not be an issue as the CBD Belapur area offers many different hotels and tiffin service opportunities.

Admission :

BVIMSR takes applications through a State wise examination of MHT-CET that has options for both MMS and MBA together according to Mumbai University criteria. The entrance exam is therefore MHTCET but also offline admissions through various sources such as Management Quota is also accepted. There is a discussion with the faculty regarding offline (without CET) admissions where they guide you even if you do not have any specialisation chosen. The application form is available on their website with a minimal fees and applications start as early as February. Difficulty level of examination is not high having VOCAB, QA & LR. Reservation benefits are available for students who have previously not availed the benefits for any other Post Graduate course. Areas of improvement include an addition of GD & PI rounds to filter out better students for the college.

Placement Experience:

You will be getting packages of above 6 LPA easily if you get into this college. In my time, the stated average is 14.5 LPA. But the actual average will be around 13 LPA. It's the best option if you don't want to spend too much money to do your MBA or want to start and MBA and do something else on the side, like cracking a better college, cracking government jobs, entrepreneurship, etc.

JBIMS attracts various big firms such as McKinsey, PwC, IBM, HUL, Nestle, P&G, Tata Steel, Reliance, Amazon, JPMC, etc to name a few. The Highest package was 34.36 lakhs and the average package stood at 22.84 lakhs for the MMS Batch of 2020. The students are eligible for final campus placements after completing the summer internship which happens after the 2nd semester.
