Course Curriculum Overview :

IIT Delhi provides a good atmosphere of learning. Also the hostels in the campus itself makes it easier for studying in library as well. The labs are good here and so the professors. IIT Delhi focuses more on Research based career. Course load is more in the first year. In the second year courses are less but you have to do project in the second year.

Internships Opportunities :

I don't remember the names of the companies that came for internships. But as compared to placements, internships are better here. You get stipend also during internship. My friends did internship in summer and they got good stipend as well depending upon the company.

Placement Experience :

You are eligible for internships during your first year itself and for the placements in the second year only. Last year comparatively many Edtech companies came. This year the number was comparatively less. Highest ever package is around 15 lacs per annum. Depend on the number of companies visiting, it decides the number of students getting placed. I am looking for government job after the degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees increases slightly every year. I had spent a total of 3.5 lacs for this course that includes academic fees and hostel fees with mess charges. Students with good SGPA im first semester (above 8 generally) and with low annual income are given MCM scholarship which refunds your tuition fee and along with that you get Rs. 1000/- per month also. SC/ST students get free messing also if they satisfy above conditions too. Mostly Ed-Tech companies come for placement. Overall Placements are not that good here for MSc chemistry.

Campus Life :

Campus life is best here in IIT Delhi. You will enjoy many cultural and technical fests and events throught the year. RDV is the main cultural fest and Trust is the main technical fest of IIT Delhi. You will get enough books in the library. Classroms are best here in IIT Delhi ( fully AC) . Various societies are also there in the college, you can join as per your interest.

Hostel Facilities :

Normal rooms are provided. I got single room. However you can opt for a hostel that provides AC rooms as well. The food quality is good in the hostel mess. You will be provided the hostel by the college itself during the admission process. If you don't want hostel, you can opt for PG or flat in the nearby area.

Admission :

The admission process was completely online. You should have cleared the IIT JAM exam and your rank should be upto 200 for OBC category and under 100 for UR category, also you should have completed BSc in Chemistry or BSc Hons in Chemistry or BSc Physical Sciences with Chemistry. Msc is a two year course divided in four semesters. Each semester there is one minor and one major exam. Exams are moderate to difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are basically two examinations held every semester. Mid-term examination and end-semester examination. There are 4 semesters in total for this course. The level is up to the subjects. Some are difficult while some are moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum is not that light, it requires to be taken seriously throughout. Had done BSc in mathematics so automatically reflex was to pursue a master's in the same subject, that's why opted for it in the first place. But later realized we can do a lot more things with the same course apart from carrying on a Ph.D.

Remarks:

Positive thing is that faculty and department is very good. Campus is so good and clean. More importantly, in delhi to get such a beautiful campus is totally a bliss. Negitive thing is that politics is included in every thing.
