Dislikes

Bus is only available at the time of breaks, 3 times a day. Other occasions you have to walk
Student strength in a class is very high and hence care get to the individual student will be less.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Since this is a central university it will provide a chance to study children across india which will improve your communication skills and socializing skills and get to work with top notch faculty. The curriculum covers almost every aspects but little more exposure in the field is required. They can avoid topics covered in degree level and should include more high level topics and shoud provide more real world exposure. Teaching methods are quite good but can include more case studies. Exams will be held in each semester and therefore students will get enough time to prepare and have a moderate level questions.

Internships Opportunities :

At the beginning of 3 semester and end of 4 semester internship opportunities is available. Students can choose the place they want to work and with and internship reports have to be submitted in the department t the end of the internship. This help to get a real world exposure and increase practical knowledge.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Odd semester have more fees compared to even semesters and will cost approximately 27000 a year. If you are opting for hostel you will have pay another 27000. Hostel fee and mess fees are considerably okay but semester fees is little high. various scholarships are available and the university will provide stipend to top students. Travel expenses cost have to consider

Campus Life :

Pondicherry University literally has so many festivals and national seminars and many more platforms to seek experience. Onam ,christmas, dipawali, pongal and many more north and south Indian festivals are celebrated here. National and international seminars are held here. Almost all books and journals are available here. High level technological advanced library and have good infrastructure facilities. Smart class are available. Sports activities like opting softcore from other departments and many other extra curricular activities are available. So many social groups and clubs are available here which improve the student life and make i easy. Overall campus life is good here.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are quite good. 3 persons will be ina room having 3 sets of closets one table and 2 chairs. 3 plug points are available with 2 study lights. Good ventilation windows with mosquito net. Meals in girls mess are quite good but continues repetation of menu is a drawback. Majority of days breakfast will be dosa and for lunch and dinner rice and chappathi is available with dal ,sambhar, pickle, rasam and masala curry. 2 times a week will have chicken and egg. Online registration process will happen along with admission process and is affordable. Per day 87 is for food.

Hostel Fee : INR 27000 per year

Admission :

The applicant should have completed the degree course in psychology feild. The applicant should have attended the CUET entrance exam and from the applicants university will put a rank list. Top students in the rank list will be eligible for the course. Category reservations is available (sc,st ,ews etc). The exam will be held on feb or march month and will have moderate to difficult level mcqs. Spot admission is also available. Spot admission can also be made online since it is time consuming

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd semester itself, students are eligible for placements. Companies like vkc pride, axis bank , icici bank , HDFC Bank etc comes. Some academic based institute like byju , unacademy they take students from online interviews. Ya nearly 70% students get placed. My plans are I want to pursue higher education. Thats why I am not going for a job .

My review

Remarks:

Overall rating of our university would be good as it is a central university. Job opportunities are also colourful here. The grade of teaching varies from department to department. But our department is awesome. The only problem here is mess food. You get bored having same food everyday although they try to accommodate a versatile menu throughout the week.

The college bus fees is higher because the college is situated at far from the city and took 45 mins from town to college, students are wish to join in this type of college, all students first preference is this type of college only.
