Pondicherry University, a central University

Course and subject wise it is really good, developing in India. There are enough scopes and opportunities worldwide too. The curriculum exposed you to research work and develop your thinking process.

The yearly paid fees are nearly 33,000, including tution fees , caution fees, registration fees, admission fees and developmental fees. There are performance-based scholarships for top 3 ranked students, they received 10000, 7500, 5000 accordingly. There is merit cum means scholarship for the top 10 students around 3000 per semester.

The campus facilities are really good, Campus life is very much happening and beautiful. The campus is full of greenery, there are cricket stadium, football stadium, and different other grounds, alsoan indoor stadium and gyms for both boys and girls.

Hostel and room are really good, mostly it is double or triple shearing for PG students, and single shearing for PhD schoolers, hostels are well mentained and clean. In point of hostel mess the food is ok ok... not that great, but eatable, at really affordable cost, per day at 74 rupees only.But the nurition value of the mess food is really poor.

Actually, the admission process was really smooth and fast at Pondicherry University, compared to other central universities, such as DU, JNU, BHU and HCU. In there cases, the admission process was very slow. I preferred Pondicherry University over other universities because of its sea beach-facing.

Faculty to student ratio is around 11:4. There are very few facultis really good at their works, such Dr. Regina Sharmila Dass and Dr. Thillai Sekar. They are trying their best for development of the studens and really really helpful as person. The exams are quite easy and stright forward, but the numbers of the exams, internal, pactical, presentations, viva very high and thik and fast. Somehow it will cause problem in your personal life, and very time-consuming and resist your personal development.

I will give 5 star rateing for nightlife of Pondicherry University, It's free from any restrictions but 100% safe at a same time. Only complain the road are not that good in some parts, other wise it a very beautiful green campus, sunrise and sunset at campus are well recommended, aslo if you are lucky enough you can see several rear species of animals and plants, such owl, peacock, lizerds, porcupine, full of cats and dogs. My feavourite hang out places are, SJ campus, Campus beach and Poonlait, a small food and market place.
