- I like a lot about NITK it feels as a home to me this is the place where my life turns making me a more valuable asset to the globe.
- Nitk posses everything cultural , extracurricular and sports making life here more cheerful and enjoyable.
Dislikes
- I don't like the timings of classes here because it starts from morning 8 and somedays goes all the way to 6 in the evening.
- I don't like the area where this institute is situated because here we sweat all day because of humidity.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course is Civil Engineering is deals with constuction works like building houses, roads , bridges , dams and many more. The college timings is from 8-12 we are eprovided with 1hr of lunch break and from then the remaining classes begin. Proffesors are highly knowledge able then are very well experienced in the field of teaching although we feel the syllabus very tuff at the beginning we can cover up easily further.
Internships Opportunities :
Many oppurtunities are available in NITK based on what skills we posses so if we work hard and are determined about what we have to do we can attain the atmost success in life. Basically I am in first year and dont have any internship experience to share i lokk forward to get one in the second year.
Placement Experience :
NITK is the 2nd best nit in india and we cant expect less from it. Highest placements are done in it jobs where as there are govt placements for the core branches. Companies like google , Amazon , Microsoft and many reputed companies visit here and hire students. Highest package of 53lpa was done in the year of 2023 with and average of 18lpa.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tuition fee is of 62500 inculding all other fees it goes upto 1lakh for first sem and in second sem it's nearly 70-80 thousand making 170000 per year. Many scholarships can be applied here that is also on the basis on ranks. Other than that one can also apply many private scholarships.
Campus Life :
NITK has two major fests in here 1) Engineer- Technical fest 2) Incident-Cultural fest other than this all festivals of all cultures are celebrated with full enthusiasm. We do posess two library 1)E-library 2)Nitk library where we can get axis to all books needed for studies. All classroms have all needs to provide best education for the students in order to excel in academics NITK posses all world class sporting courts and equipments to support students physical wellbeing.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels in NITK are very good. They are maintained regularly providing proper hygiene for students. The quality of food is not bad in here but we do have night canteens and food court where we can savour our meals. The hostel allotment is done online after admission.
Admission :
The candidate must first appear in jee mains exam he/she must qualify with a very good percentile in it. The admissions to the courses is basically based on the ranks which we obtain in JEE mains. Certain resevations are given to candidates belonging to sechduled caste and tribes. The admissions are offline in which students have to come to college and make further verification.
Interview Experience :
Interview is basically done in a simple way as they will be having many of the information neede prioror to admission. The selected student should report to college and undergo physical verification which takes around a day long after which hostelers are alloted hostel.
