Course Curriculum Overview :
The course that I am currently enrolled in is ECE. It deals with digital electronics, analog electronics, signal processing and communication. The curriculum gives a really good insight of hardware of different electronic and communication devices. The functioning of all the gadgets used nowadays could be understood with theoretical and practical knowledge. The. Professors are competant and the curriculum is well organised. There are in general 4 exams, 2 quizes, one mid sem and one end sem. Howevers this varies with course and faculty.
Internships Opportunities :
The internships are offered in the third year that is the fifth semester. Internship offers are domestic as well as international. Students also do internship under a professor. The club offers various projects which we can put in a resume for the internship season. Also the department has mini projects.
Placement Experience :
The students can sit in the placement starting from the 7th semester. Various companies from IT as well as core visit the college. Placement rate is 90%. The average may very from department to department. The average package is around 15 lakh per annum. The average package also from department to department. Highest package offered till now is proximately 65 lakhs per annum. I am preparing for both core as well as it. My dream is Texas Instruments.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tuition fees for one semester is approximately 64000. Including all the other charges it comes to around 70000 per semester. Additional 30000 per semester for hostel and Mess is taken. The college offers fee concession students who belong to economically backward section and those who belong to the reserved section of the society. Other than that the college of various scholarships through various government schemes and also on the merit. I am also benefit by the merit scholarship werein I get 10000 per year.
Campus Life :
There are two major fests around the year in the campus. First is the Incident that takes place during March. It's regarded as one of the biggest cultural fest of South India which is organised by students. It's a three day even with various activities, seminars, concerts, etc. The other is the Engineer takes place in October. It is a technical fest where the students get opportunities to explore the world of engineering and entrepreneurship. College has its own sports team for various sports like football, cricket, table tennis, volleyball, handball, etc. there are well maintain sports ground as well as courts. Regular sport events like freshers, Slam Dunk, etc take place which keeps the students involved in various sports activities. There are also many clubs for variety of hobbies and activities. There are exclusive clubs like IEEE, ACM, ISTE, etc. There are also hobby clubs like artist forum, dance and music club which keeps the students engaged and motivated.
Hostel Facilities :
Nearly 95% of the students enrolled in the college if in the hostels which are located inside the campus. Hostels for boys and girls and each hostel contains its own mess where the student can eat 4 meals a day. The mess menu various with the mess. Every month a student can change his or her mess. The food quality is average. The hostel room contains basic facilities like electricity,water and internet. Room has one cupboard,one table,one chair and one fan and depending upon the number of people living in one room which goes to a maximum of three the furniture is also equally numerated.The Hostel rent and Messi is quite affordable.
Admission :
Admission process was quite smooth. I got admission through the JEE mains Examination in 2022. The difficulty of exam is medium to hard. They provide tow sessions in the same for writing the exam and the score is taken as the best out of two. The exam is three hours.The cutoff for EEE department was 12000 approx. My Rank was 6700 CRL. Once the cutoff came, counseling started on the NTA website where we could choose the college and the result of counseling is the college we get from the choices we entered. There were a total of 6 counseling rounds. The college alloted in the last round is taken as final. The dates and time of physical reporting to the college comes shortly after the allotment.
