Remarks :
I have enjoyed my life at COEP. Obviously, admission in this college has been a life-changing decision for me. Although I don't have an excellent academic record I am happy with the overall performance.
Entrance Preview :
My admission was through NRI quota which considers your 12th std marks. My marks were 90%. only physics chemistry and maths marks were required for this round .this is totally a transparent process.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My college isn't under Pune University. The course content is totally different which is similar to that of IITS'S. there are a lot of elective courses offered during different years of the course. The good examination process is followed by the college. I should definitely say this course curriculum is more difficult than Pune University course
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, our college provides the internship. This is after the end of the third year. Generally, the average stipend is about 3-4k per month.
Placement Experience :
The placement of COEP is currently one of the best after IIT BOMBAY. It is delivered that the placement is about 95%. which is a great amount. There are core companies from different sectors coming for placement with the regular interview and task rounds for the selection.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are many scholarships provided by the college. I am not sure about all of them. For students topping the particular subject, there is a scholarship provided.
Campus Life :
There is a great exposure for students. Living in Pune gives u street smartness. The ratio of general boys to girls might be 5: 2. There are many extracurricular activities offered by our college which are totally managed by students. More than 36 different clubs are there of science technology sports arts etc.
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni provide a lot of donations for the different festival held in the campus. There is no ragging in the college by students. They are very helpful and guide as well.
Exam Structure :
Good examination structure is followed by the college.we have 2 20 marks midterm exams held every 40 days for the theory subject. The final exam is of 60 marks held at the end of the semester. There are 50 marks for the practical book and 50 marks for viva for the practicals
Admission :
The forms are uploaded online on the college site . This is uploaded a month prior to the admission process.form is to be submitted offline in college and the next process of admission is done offline in college itself.in nri quota there is a difference gulf quota for students doing their 12std from a gulf country.
Faculty :
Most of our college faculty is brilliant. They have a Ph.D. in their subjects and the others are pursuing their Ph.D. Of course all the faculty isn't awesome but yes a good amount of professors are well experienced and have a deep knowledge of the subject
