Remarks :
College management is quite good. They need to improve their digitality. And to add more servers.
Entrance Preview :
MH-CET. I scored 176 out of 200 and as this is the best college in engineering for that exam, I chose it.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I pursue computer engineering and I can assure you that it's the best course in college. Lectures are quite young and enthusiastic to teach. Professors help a lot for research purpose. Placements are really good for this course. Students of this branch are always eager to learn more. So many of them go to the US for MS
Internships Opportunities :
Yes. College brings many companies for summer internships and is very generous in terms of stipends. I got selected in Pune for internship and the company gave a project which was a new experience working with many people on same work.
Placement Experience :
Placements are really good. Average package is 6 lakhs. Average package for computer branch is 8 lakhs. Companies are nice as they doesn't issue a bond between us and them. Many MNC's like Intel, Microsoft, etc. arrive in college and select brilliant students to work for them.
College Events :
Our college has many extracurricular activities. We have almost 60 clubs in colleges. There are 5 big events in our college. MindSpark-Technical event Impressions-Cultural event Zest-Sports Event Regatta-Boat Club event And Annual Gathering.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is high for government college. It is 76000 for open category student where as it's only 9000 for other government colleges in Maharashtra. Hostel fees are also 28000. Greater than it should be. So total cost goes to almost 1 lakh per year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are many scholarships available for students who can't afford to pay the fees at once. Many private companies like Siemens almost provide free education to 25 students. SBI branch of college also helps to clear money obstacle.
Campus Life :
There are almost 60 clubs in our college. Arts and crafts, robotic study circle, team nemesis, debate club, college magazine, CSAT, etc. CSAT launched the satellite in a space in 2014. Gender ratio is 60% to 40% So it's not that bad for an engineering college.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel food is best here. In the first year it's not so good. From second-year nonveg dishes are served in boy's mess. Girls mess is pure vegetarian for all four years. But they can come to boy's mess if they want to enjoy chicken curry. The mess is closed on Sunday evening. Other hostel facilities are also good except wifi. There's only one wifi router on a floor.
Alumni/Alumna :
Senior students guide the club and select heads of each club. They also build startup where we can intern. They're quite helpful for cracking exams after graduation.
Exam Structure :
Semester consists of 3 exams T1, T2 and End sem. T1 and T2 is of 20 marks each. And end sem of 60 marks. Grades are decided on cumulative marking. Each grade ranges for at least 5-6 marks. Grades are AA,AB,BB,BC,CC,CD and fail. Where AA has 10 pointer and AB has 9 pointer and so on.
Admission :
Result was announced on 1st June. After that through cet cap round process, I got admitted into CoEP. After visiting CoEP in August for first time, I registered myself there by showing them my marksheets and some other documents. College started on 8th August.
Faculty :
Almost every faculty has Ph.D. Maths department is strict and can be called as the epitome in conducting exams. The teacher is really good at their respective courses and always want to teach more. Course gets completed in time always and videos and ppts are always shared by teachers for students
