Course Curriculum Overview :
majorly this college is dedicated to food.As A B.Tech student my course focuses on food and its various aspects which includes from postharvest to complete production of food materials.faculties in course are highly qualified and experienced which has a industrial experience as well. the student strength for B.Tech is around 180 and in terms of Ratio it is around 50:50.around all the faculties are P.hd holders from various iits. In case of there teaching methods they are highly professionals such as class starts on time,practicals are there on every scheduled day of week, and addressing the queries raised by students etc.For exams we have two main exams which are mid term examination and end term exams no unfair means are entertained during exams as well as although question paper level is always moderate and asked questions are always relevant to the topics which are taught in class.
Internships Opportunities :
niftem involves compulsory internship programme in which companies like adani wilmar, abinbeo, itc,mondleys etc offers internships.which are majorly in role of production, supply chain management, sales management, etc. through this internships the students are get experienced for company operations.
Placement Experience :
in a niftem the students get eligible by completing there internships in 4th year which are offered by companies during campus visits. mostly the students get ppo's from there internship performances some of the remaining are get placed by campus interviews. the minimum packages are around 5lakh wheather the highest package is around 25 lakhs and average is about 8-12 lakhs.the main companies are adani, nestle, itc, mondleys, tetrapack, abinbeo etc.around 70% of students gets jobs during placements and remaining prefer either by offcampus or opt for higher studies.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
fee structure is moderate and as similar to other engineering colleges such as iits and nits. also because its a government college it has categorie benefits in fees for students.overall tution fee and mess fees are the fees included in fees which are the two major factors of it as compared to others.for the scholarship college help desk as well as authorities are always helpful they help you to feel your forms of scholarship wheather they are of state or national scholarships as well for general categorie students college on its own offers a scholarship called as tfw which is relaxation in fees.From the placement point of view niftem is a verygood choice it has a compulsory internship programme in 7th semester(B.Tech) in which companies offers you internships and if they get satisfied with your performance they offers you ppo otherwise college has a campus placement where a maximum possibility of getting hired with decent package.
Campus Life :
Niftem has lush green campus of around 100 acres in which classes, labs, authority building, pilot plants, sports complex and library are the main highlights.this campus includes its 3 canteens within the campus also for refreshingthe mood nutri garden is there. for scocial activities and fun we have different societies such as saarang, kalakriti, geetanjali, prakriti etc which oraganizes events in campus. almost all the traditional events are celebrates in campus. the occasions of new begining's are always celebrated in campus such as fresher's or farewells. library is also a attraction of campus which is available in both modes that is online and offline that is all the books in the library can be accessed from anywhere.library has its own building which is well equipped with different facilities that are AC,Heaters and water coolers so that the comfort for reading can be deliverd to students.
Hostel Facilities :
hostel facilities in niftem are fantastic because there are ususally only two students in a room and it can became a single person in room after 3rd year(B.Tech). From accomodation perspective only hostel is available in niftem you cannot stay outside the campus.with regards to hostel rooms all the rooms have 2 beds,2 fans,4 tubelights,2 chairs,2 tables etc already in room. mess is within the hostels.hostel service is available for both girls and boys. the hostel is affordable for a student.
Admission :
The admission process in NIFTEM is based on score in Jee which is a entrance exams.This college has two systems for seat allocation which are 1) JOSAA/CSAB 2) Direct admission process. The basic process of josaa is through central allocation system,direct admission procedure is the channel through which with a valid jee rank you can apply directly for niftem from the college website and available vaccancy can increase your chances of getting selected.Generally cutoff for General is moderate on moderate ranks such as above 45k upto the limit of 100k for categorie reservation of seats plays an important role through which the ranks somewhat lower can also be selected as well as benefits reservations applied in fees also( reduced ).eligibility of admission is 12th pass with PCM group and a valid JEE rank.Application process starts with Jee councelling and ends after a month.
