The course is backdated. IT students are also made to do mechanical workshop and ED

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is a bit back dated just like any other NIT. However the faculty is outstanding. They are some of the best professors of India. Faculty to student ratio is good. All faculties have phd. The exams were held timely but were really difficult to pass . Lot of my friend got supple

Class Size : 90Course Fees : INR 68000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

A lot of companies offer on campus internships like microsoft, google, amazon, cesc, texas instruments, drdo, isro, tata, and so on. Internship opportunities are great . Most of students can get internship at the beginning of 5th semester

Placement Experience :

From 5th semester students become eligible for on camous internships and from 7th semester, students are eligible for on campus placements. Highest on campus package was 54 lpa and highest off campus package was 1.5cpa. Average package in IT was 19 lpa. Overall average package is around 10 lpa. More than 80% students from all branches get placed every year. After degree i am planning to get a corporate job

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees of general category students is 68000 per semester. However students from poor family backgrounds get a lot of fee waiver and have to pay only 1/3rd of the total fees . Some students can avail gaabesu scholarship funded by alumni of this college if they are unable to afford this college fees also

Campus Life :

The annual fest is called REBECCA and is India's oldest college cultural fest. It is outstanding. College campus is beautiful and has many historic buildings. Infrastructure though needs a lot of renovation. Labs and classrooms are great. There are many clubs like cultural clubs , sports clubs, stand up comedy club, robotics club, coding club , debating club

Admission :

I got admission through josaa councelling after jee mains. The cutoff of this college was pretty high. I think the college admission procedure needs no change as everyone gets admission based on their merit.

From 7th semester you are eligible for placements Tata consultancy services , Pwc, ICICI , Duesthe bank ,Wells Fargo etc no of offers for my batch are more than 300 highest package is 40 lpa and lowest package is 3.3 lpa avg is 7 lpa percentage of students placed is 70 my plan is to join a company which I got selected through campus placement

JGEC is good enough to choose over KGEC.

B.Tech is a great course for technological world and interest.This college mainly focus on the practical knowledge rather than only focusing on bookish things.There is so many opportunities for students who are interested in research.
