Likes

Library with books of all fields and a good availability of e pdf.
Sports facilities of all like badminton, basketball, swimming, volleyball, tennis and many more.

Dislikes

Distance of studying complex is too far and need to cycle everyday.
Hostels are not having food of good quality and infrastructure is only good enough.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Value of education through IIT and the opportunity it provides to its students was the reason for choosing it.Faculty is available for all fields and qualifications are also the best but not all faculty are good enough in teaching skills. Exam happen often and quality is also good . Efforts are required to pass them.

Class Size : 100Course Fees : INR 150000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee hike happened in last few years due to independence from government control. But still justified as per facility provided. Scholarship are available for students having economical problem . Financial assistance is also provided .

Campus Life :

Spring fest and Kshitij are top fest of IIT Kharagpur. They are conducted in month of January during 3rd and 4th week. Library is biggest in Asia with books of all fields and latest journals are also provided. Too many clubs, society and cell are their for students. Sports facilities are also available.

Admission :

The process was smooth .We took admission through JEE Advanced exam .Josaa got the counseling done.Nta conducts the examination and Jossa conducted further procedure. Reservation benefits are available for OBC SC AND ST AND also for girls .

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.

Seeing stcet again through my eyes

Placement Experience:

Students from the 4th-year 7th semester onwards become eligible for all sorts of campus recruitments. Cognizant technology solutions are the principal recruiter. Other companies which used to come during this time include Infosys, Odesha technologies, itc infotech, and others. All these companies generally take many students from our campus. During our time around 88% of students got selected from our batch. Out of which many students got double job offers from cognizant and Infosys. Some got job offers in sonodyne, Vodafone, and other companies. The highest package was offered by cognizant which was about 6 lakhs per annum. An average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum was offered by Infosys followed by itc infotech which offered roughly 4 lakhs per annum. After getting the degree I will pursue Ms maybe or maybe I can opt for MBA too. Also, I can sit for ies exam. Let's see what happens.
