Best college in punjab to get good engineering knowledge.

JET with 1100 rank with rural quota diploma and than leet with above 70% marks during JET i have to reach ptu changidarh to choose college according to my ranking degree admission process is from college.

Course Curriculum Overview

For mechanical engineering 4 year degree programs all compulsorily subjects are teached such as engineering drawing ,strength of materials,mechanics of solids,workshop technology, thermodynamics,applied mechanics,rac and all their lab.work along with two training.

Internships Opportunities

Federal and mogual gottezee limited patiala no stipend offered,most of the students choose companies own their own for industrial training so no stipend paid by companies college also offfers some small courses such as cad/cam etc.

Placement Experience

Very good placements reputed companies such as microsoft, maruti,indian army,acc,vardhman group and many more local companies packages range 2lakh to 12 max till.

Sports meet inter colleges and than on state level in which all ptu colleges participates. body building cultural festival held in college every year job fair held technical fest held where students shows their projects.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible 32000 per semester includes library charges,internet charges .Mess and hostel charges extra no extra fee charges fee structures fellow ed as per ptu instrucrions.Sc students not charged even single penny education is totally free.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got scholarship from shromani akalidal gurudwara purbandak committee punjab many scholarship are provided to students ,fee of sc students totally free and books are also free of cost.

Campus Life

Gender ratios 60/40 boys/girls workshops are highly equipped with every instrument that we study in theory every year cultural youth festival held in college most of students from north india.

Hostel Facilities

Large hostels are in college but of average facilities degree college mess food is good as compared to diploma level average pg rental during my days is 3000 rs.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior are very supportive,no ragging incident in college. Alumni are of good attitude and on higher posts in different sector,senior helps us in all fields.

Exam Structure

most of days are chilled..labs time. table are well scheduled,exams theory based held one time for each semester that are final exams along with three mst exams inbetween per semester for internal accessmemt

I particularly liked my minor degree in Electronics and Communication engineer which is cover more on the modern Computer hardware concepts . Suggestion as overall faculty can introduce one course each semester as elective which student can learn apart from that branch.

The campus has good learning environment , helpful faculty , and facilities for academic and extracurricular activities

Dislikes

the fees are quite high , and more practical , industry exposure and intership oppertunities would improve the overall experirnce

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh university provides placemnet oppertunities with studnets becoming eligible in later semester . cse studnets can apply to it companies for technicall roles . i plan to gain practical skills .

My Experince at Chandigarh University: Campus Life, Learning and Growth

Likes

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

Dislikes

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

Dislikes

Hostel food is not good but eatable and enough.
Dresscode is on wednesday that is must to wear.
Massive campus you may face difficulty in roaming.

Likes

college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

my overall experience at the college has been good so far
the faculty members are generally helpful
campus life is active with various cultural and technologies events

Dislikes

one thing i feel can be improved is the amount of pratical and industry oriented learning
some claases can be more theroy oriented so more hands on activities and pratical sessions would be beneficial
during major events and peak hours the campus become crowded

A Balaced College Experience With Great Campus Life

Likes

i like everthing about the college.
i like the supportive faculty behaviour.
the college also provide placement guidance.

Dislikes

Some areas could be improved especially the placement.
A few courses felt more theory focused than industry oriented.
Student enagement oppourtunities would make campus life better.

I would rate the course around 5 . i choose the courser because it provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and paractical concepts relevant to my career goals as well.

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.

1) I only applies to Guru nanak dev engineering college ludhiana and Lovely professional university Phagwara . I chose Guru anank dev engineering college because of low fee as compared to LPU and also Guru annak dev engineering college is old as compared to LPU so it will have lesser alumni network. 2) No i didnt get rejected i just left that college. 3) Adimission process- simply apply from website of IKGPTU based on jee mains marks and 12th exam. For taking admission in this college you can take admission on the basis of your board exam marks. You can get admission if you have minimum 40% marks in your board exam as well. For taking admission in CSE or IT branch you should have atleast 85% or more marks scored in your board exam. If you are from home state you might get reservation benefit. In this college 85% seats are reserved for home state students and rest 15% for other students as well as for home state.
