Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose it for my interest in coding. Students strength in each class is 70. Boys to girls ratio is 4:1. Faculties are good some might have the communication barrier but other than that correction depends on how you write the exam

Class Size : 70Course Fees : INR 400000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

A very recent internship offer was one by Johnson's and Co for automation, earlier there was a Deloitte internship whose stipend was maybe around 40000. I have just joined college this year so from what I've heard this is all I know.

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible for placements from 4th year I suppose. There have been many companies that visited last year I don't exactly remember how many. The highest package was 1.3cr and average was 8 Lakhs per annum

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The Fee's structure is divided into 5 categories. Category 1:- 2 lakhs per annum. Category 2:- 3 lakhs per annum. Category 3:- 4 lakhs per annum. Category 4:- 4.5 lakhs per annum. Category 5:- 5 lakhs per annum. The category you get during counseling is based on your VITEEE rank.

Campus Life :

We have annual cultural and annual fests, namely Gravitas and Riviera which also has expos before it. There are many clubs and chapters more than 100. The main library which is the AC one has a wide collection of books.

Hostel Facilities :

The facilities depends on the block you choose. The mess food isn't that great, you obviously won't get the elegance of home-made food but this is fine. I'm living in hostel, there's a hostel counseling after your course counseling is done.

Hostel Fee : INR 180000 per year

Admission :

The entrance examination of Vellore institute of technology is VITEEE, whose details can be found on vit.ac.in . There's a STAR scheme for district and state toppers of Tamil Nadu, so they pay lower fees or nothing at all. One needs to have 65%+ in CBSE/ICSE 12th examination.

Placement Experience:

A very good placement rate with around 80 to 90 percent, good packages going as high as 45 LPA and at a minimum of 4.5 LPA, several companies like Hash Agile, Nallas, mobitech, and others have handed offers.

Placement Experience:

Students starting placed from their last semester. Reputed companies gave an offer. Like tcs, Accenture, Infosys, etc. The highest package will be 60k and minimum 25k. 98% got placed before completing the degree. 55% above is the minimum for placement if you want to be placed in a high package of salary Job.

SASTRA College Life- An Amazing Experience

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
