Course Curriculum Overview :

IIT Kharagpur is globally popular as miner's paradise, thus mining is the oldest course that was introduced into the college. Faculty here are very interactive and good in teaching, and even if students don't want some faculty, college provide opportunity to change them. Faculty here are highly qualified and have mastered their field by participating in research group and also well experience in teaching methods. If you regularly attend the classes and practice for some time that's enough for passing, as college exams are based on conceptual depth of students to review the effectiveness of the course.

Class Size : 90Course Fees : INR 224000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

For interested students internships are available even in the first year itself. Also, the main course intership has extended the timeline of the intership from 8 weeks to 8 months, that provides a huge experience to student interns. Also, the tech societies and fest help a lot to grab opportunity for research and tasks.

Placement Experience :

People in 7th semester become eligible for the campus placements as well as research opportunities. Most of people get very good placements in companies like mackenzie, Google etc. On the first day of placement interview itself 50% of the students get it so almost everyone get average good package.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Many of the alumni provides some private scholarships to needy students. Also most of the banks provides education opportunities with very less interest rates. There is scholarship provided by reliance which students can easily available by passing the provided examination and few other eligibility criterias.

Campus Life :

Both the Spring fest and Tech fest named Kshitij is conducted in the month of January. All sort of books necessary for students are easily available in library. The library of my college is Asia's one of the largest Libraries. All classrooms are airy, wide and with full of sunlight. Also, lights, fans airconditioners, projectors etc, things available in each classrooms. The campus is very popular for sport and cultural activities. Hence IIT Kharagpur has the record of the highest Inter IIT Cups in cultural and sports. Many societies like Student welfare society, IWG etc, and media societies like Awaaz works for students and help them in solving thier all sort of issues and also brought it in front of college council.

Hostel Facilities :

Rooms are more like hotels over hostel. The bed, lights, balcony, tables, washrooms everything is clean and neat. The meal quality is better that most of the other colleges especially breakfast and snacks are very nice. But the meal need to improve its quality. For accommodation for off campus people, guest houses are available in the campus.

Hostel Fee : INR 32000 per year

Admission :

Eligibility criterias were very simple those are give on JOSAA sight and JEE Advanced website. The application fees and dates are available on the ERP portal of IIT Kharagpur college itself. No such improvement is necessary only the availability of residence and food should be there for gurdians came more efficiently.

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.
