Faculty problem, Break of infra-structure and lack of communication skills need to more developed to get this college up.

Entrance Preview

I had given WBJEE exam and pursued a decent general rank which landed me up in this college. No other interview process I had seen. I got allotted in ECE stream which was my first priority.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.Tech course in this college is quite low graded as compared to other govt. colleges. Besides theoretical session the practical learning is not too satisfactory to compete with others. Research initiatives like many kind of seminars, workshops are held in our campus.

Internships Opportunities

The students are well prepared always while finding better internships. Whether it's paid or unpaid, the students show their interest mostly on the provided certificates.

Placement Experience

As compared to the time before 8 years, the recent days don't go well while campusing. Approx 50-60% students are recruited in last two years. Reputed mass recruiter companies like TCS, CTS, SPCL visit our campus mostly. The avg package they provide lies between 3.3- 4.5 LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As this is a Government college, the fee structure is not so much expensive. Total fees for 1st year is Rs.22000 and Rs.15451 for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year each.

Faculty

Faculty problem is constant. Even strikes also has gone in vein. The teachers present serves well while teaching. They teach very carefully so that the students can understand easily.

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

From 7th semester students become eligible for sitting in the campus placements . Companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, IBM,Amazon and many more visits the college and companies like TCS and Wipro take mass recruitment and companies like Amazon offers 2-3 job . Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College

According to my West Bengal joint entrance examination rank I said for the counselling in the first round I got Kalyani Government Engineering College with IT department but that was with the reservation under EWS quota with rank 2869. As I was not able to get me EWS certificate my admission there was cancelled and then according to my preference I got Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College with electronic and communication engineering department.
