Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure varies among institutions, so it's important to check with the specific university or college you're interested in for accurate information. Many universities offer scholarships based on academic merit, extracurricular achievements, or financial need. Financial assistance may also be available through grants or loans. On-campus jobs, such as research or teaching assistant positions, can provide valuable experience and a stipend. Be sure to inquire about the institution's fees hike policy and explore potential sources of support during your academic journey.

Campus Life

4

Life on campus can be vibrant, with various social and extracurricular activities. Annual fests like "SpringFest" for cultural events and "TechExpo" for technology enthusiasts are often held in March and September, respectively. The campus library typically houses a diverse collection of books and journals, supporting academic endeavors. Classrooms are equipped with modern amenities, including audio-visual facilities. Sports facilities and extracurricular activities are integral to campus life, offering opportunities to engage in sports, arts, and other interests. Student-led initiatives like "TechGeeks Club" or "EcoWarriors" contribute to a thriving social environment. Many campuses also have dedicated websites or forums run by students, fostering communication and collaboration among peers. Overall, campus life is dynamic and offers a well-rounded experience beyond academics.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel facilities often include basic amenities like a bed, study desk, wardrobe, and sometimes a shared bathroom. Meal quality and menu in hostels can vary, but they typically offer a variety of options catering to diverse preferences. Hostel registration processes vary by institution, involving submitting necessary documents and adhering to specific guidelines. Affordability depends on the location and the facilities provided. If you opt for rented accommodation or a PG (Paying Guest), the affordability and facilities would depend on the locality, often with the possibility of more personalized living arrangements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've always found economics to be really interesting and thats why I choose to persue it. I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course is good but you have to opt for masters and PhD to get a good placement. After bsc there's not any placement. The curriculum was basically practical and theoretical based. But I think it should be more practical so that we can get a job after doing bsc. The teaching method was good I didn't have any problem with that. As it was under Calcutta University so the exam questions were too difficult, sometimes it came out of our syllabus , i think they should change this a little bit .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.
