Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because I like Computers,hardwares and softwares.Our computer science department is quite good because we are only 14 people in our year and on an average 15 people were admitted in each year and also there are 8 faculty members and we can easily communicate with our professors.Each of our faculty members is Ph.d.And term exams held at right time and exams are quite standard and balanced.

Class Size : 14Course Fees : INR 60000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

In this time,Fees structure of the colleges are quite costly but our college's fee structure are not that costly.It is likely 60000 to 75000 rupees per year varies depending on some seminars. I only get SVMCM scholarship.It helps not much but assists me financially.I have not qualified for any campus jobs because I am in only 2nd year.

Campus Life :

I have not had any annual fest or tech fest in our college but I participated in some fests outside our college. I think we have a lot of books and journals in our library.And we can easily get through these books ans journals in the library. The classrooms are quite clear and environment of the college is fresh and clean. There is some photography clubs,NSS groups run by students.

Hostel Facilities :

Not much facilites but we have everything that a simple person need to study. Not that much good meal quality but meals are the reason we can afford our finance. We have no registration process for hostels because each student has to stay in the hostels.

Hostel Fee : INR 14400 per year

Admission :

Eligibility was 60 percentage.I found and filled up the form in our college website and application fees was like 500 rupees and application date was like in june or july I cannot remember.There was no reservation benefits because I had to give entrance exams and viva too.I see no improvement in admission but I appreciate this admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course curriculum & faculty members are quite good, 1st of all I have preferred Bsc Biotech because of my extreme interest in genetic engineering & upcoming situations of Covid 19. Also, this subject has a possibility for a Blooming future in the upcoming days of the Pandemic/epidemic. The Faculty in This college is quite good & The laboratory benefits & materials are also Supportive & workable, This college provides one of the oldest Biotech labs in West Bengal. The student ratio is also balanced. Saying about Qualification of the faculty, The Professors have atleast 6-10 yrs of teaching exp and research performs in their career, they are all friendly & supportive and helps us to explore more in this subject The term exams are Moderate & have standard questions.

Remarks:

This college still today stands to be among the first choice of every student in the hooghly district and 2nd in the Burdwan University. The only negative part is that this college has a very high political presence in the campus. Though the present government said that they oppose such strong political holds in colleges but still this words has not been kept.
