Remarks :
No remarks experience was good and i still and i hope it will remain same. As far as for good remarks teachers must remain same . Just a little bit betterment in student hotel food will be needed . Also student exchange opportunities should be more in terms of foreign exchange plans . And at least 2 industrial visits must be there for students . Some tours to near by places after exams for local and international students will favor their confidence build up too.
Entrance Preview :
Before entering in shoolini i gave AFMC exam , JEE mains exam . But in order to land in shoolini i came in contact with a drug inspector in my home town jammu ,he was a neighbor he guided me for this profession of pharmacy i am pursuing now and recommended me to at least pay a visit here. My desire to continue my interest in medical science made me choose this profession as it gives you both medical and industrial opportunities . Along with business options too.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course i choose was quiet good as it served me with knowledge of many instrumental techniques like mills used in mixing ,tablet punching machines,KF meter ,HPLC, HPTLC ,etc used in pharmaceutical industries and also it enlightened me more about how human body functions,different tests for different disease ,how to do a drug designing ,strategies for it ,problems to be faced in same and etc. The focus for practical learning is there as the instrument demonstration is given to us during practicals. The research initiatives institute has taken include research in field of cancer,malaria ,cardiac disorders and many more. The elective options available to students include photography, yoga, french language and many more . These electives are for all courses both bachelors and masters but in pharmacy as PCI syllabus doesn't allow students cannot tale electives but now initiatives have been taken by university on that part too on student request.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes our college provide internship programs . I went for internship to ind swift and experience was good . The average stipened amount was 18000 per month
Placement Experience :
Placement scenario at end of last semester was quiet fun as we came to know about more companies and their expectations from us and our future scopes in face to face . Major companies visiting include abott ,mankind,E team, IDS infotech ,ZS and many more . The average package as far as my knowledge is was of 4 to 5 lacs .
College Events :
Cultural fests like Moksh, interdeartment cultural competition and many more dance competition and social awareness programs like blood donation camps . Funations were really big as the guest appearance include dignities like gary sandhu , shri shri ravi shankar, jassi gill . The organization was quiet up to the mark as functions were smooth in their way from start till end. Even college authorities contributed financially to students and helped them with their classes and time loss.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee strucutre for bachelor is affordable as during my bachelors it was near 75000 including both hostel and institution fee.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
College initially give 15 to 30 % scholarships to first year students having they should have cleared some national entrance test or colleges in entrance test . I had a scholarship on 15% institution fee as u was an AFMC entrance test qualified student. Yes college do help students in getting loans as far as my knowledge is.
Campus Life :
As far as for extracurricular yes college gave many opportunities to me in cultural conferences where i got prices in one for skit and explored my hidden talent as a skit or play artist.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes i was residing in hotel and still i am.hostel rooms have facility of having 3 person rooms and 2 person rooms no single person rooms for students with basic food and accommodation facilities. PGs are around 1 to 2 kms far from university . For hostel fee was Rs 35000. Food was initially quiet not up to mark but later amendments made it better.
Alumni/Alumna :
Timely visit of our alumni made us stay in touch with current happenings and demand s in outer world . Yes some alumni interactions are done from time to time . As far from my knowledge alumni i know do have helped in terms of admission and placement.
Exam Structure :
Labs were not always a chill but yes most of the time it was quiet informative and a chill too. Exams are always the one making you tired at end but yes they were not that much if you work hard.
Faculty :
Here faculty for both masters and bachelors are rally qualified as most of them are GPAT qualified as for pharmacy faculty and have done their PHDs from respective instiutes like NIPER . Teachers are really interactive with students as they always are available for student help during and after lectures even in term of uploading lectures online on university site for easy download and for students to make notes out of them. The teaching standards here demand one to have done bachelors with good grades along with a masters from a government affiliated institute and a PHD with patent having a good situation index too. The current faculty also get indulged with students in university fests to.
