APG Shimla University Admissions

Candidates seeking admission to any of the programs mentioned above must register on the official website. The mode of the application and registration is online and offline as well. Follow the subsequent steps to register online:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the university and click on ‘Apply for 2025 Admission’.

Step 2: Enter your name, phone number, email id, etc and fill the inquiry cum registration form.

Step 3: Post filling the form, the candidate will get a verification link in the registered e-mail ID and phone number.

Step 4: Click on the link, and a page will open for filling out the application form.

Step 5: Fill is the Application form duly and upload the required documents in scanned form like mark sheets, a passport size photograph, signature, etc.

Step 6: Submit the form along with the payment of INR 1000 as an application fee.

Offline Procedure:

Visit the website and redirect yourself to the ‘Admission’ page (https://admission.agu.edu.in/). Download the Application form 2021 from the given link. Fill the application form using a blue or black ball pen, attach the scanned documents, and submit the form with a Demand Draft of INR 1,000 as application fee. DD to be made in favor of APG, Shimla University.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit in their past academics or qualifying entrance exams conducted at the national and university levels.

I like the location of the campus and view from the campus is very attractive

The one thing I dislike about this college is lack of experienced faculty

Students view on course

Forensic science is a good and future optimistic course which has a wide field of the forensic science I suggest that to improve focus on practical not more in theoretical It prepare very well the curriculum for the real world application or further academic pursuits

Internship opportunities provided by the college

Internship is provided by our department at different forensic laboratory in different city and in government forensic laboratory ,they don't offer any stipend for internship.In other department such as btch,bba and MBA they provided internship with stipend.

What is the total fees of the course?

The complete cost of the my education is 1.50 lakh for entire semester and there is no other charge . For Himachal Pradesh student there is a scholarship available in this college. And there is no tuition fee increase policy.

Students view on campus life

The pralakh fest and tech fest held every year ,pralakh held in month of November and tech fest held on engineer's days . There is a wide range and accessibility of the book and journal available in library and there is also a digital library here. And also projector is installed in every classroom

Facilities provided in the college hostel

There is a general facility available in the room such as fan,wardrobe, The meal and quality& menu is average You have to fill form for hostel & affordability. You can easily found a room on rent around the campus .

Students view on faculties

The qualification of the faculty member is master's and PhD The faculty to student ratio is quite good in some department and some other is not good . We generally 5-6 times interact with teacher in a day

Eligibility criteria to get admission in the college

Eligibility of the course is passed 10+2 with minimum 45% from PCB or PCM(Physics, chemistry and math). You can find application form in offline mode. There is no reservation benifit available here. The application fee is 2000 and generally admission form start from may .

Night Life

There is also gym available in hostel which is free for hostel student and arround 300 for outsider of the hostel .Closing of hostel in night time is 9:30 pm.Ecopark is one of the most famous hangout place outside the campus .

Location of our college. Our university is situated in the hills of Shimla so overall weather is cool through out the year. And I love scenic view from the campus. All I witness the snow fall in the campus

there are special events for all the festivals we have dj nights all the college should have , we have proper conferences every year ,cultural programs as well as science day etc .

Dislikes

transport system of the college is not that much good as expected
not any complaint related to any topic p

the reasons are :- the university is very close to my home the university admission process is very simple thta you have to register online then after 1 hour you will receive a mesage that can we talk on call , and the faculty of admission cell will explain you the main context abot the admission process . the infrastructure is good .

The thing I like about college is only the environment a little bit

Dislikes

Campus is pretty good not that good, it's not that huge or have any kind of sports ground etc
Ahh the amount of money that college collects for functions

Personally TBH i didn't apply for any colleges I unexpectedly came here and personally I think I should've chosen other college Nah I didn't got rejected form the other college since I didn't apply for any colleges I think any one can study here as along as they are financially capable marks don't count here I guess

I choose this college because it was inly one college in Himachal Pradesh which have that forensic science course. And i get to know about this university by ithers that they have really good teaching staffs and placement. So i just apply to that University.

I liked how everyone respects different different cultures without any racism
The peaceful nature to study and studies are also good and faculties and seniors are really loving

Dislikes

Water scarcity and the weather is extremely heat and suddenly extremely cold
It's in a remote area so it's hard to go to market and cab fares are also expensive
Foods are not good in mess and campus is small

Admission:

To get entrance I didn't had to appear any exams I joined here I gave my documents and 12th results and simply got the admission. It was easy to get admission here. I was later entry so it was bit hard to catch up

AGU offers B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering to aspirants. Minimum eligibility for admission to B.Tech courses is to pass HSC with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects.
