Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because it was the best I could get with my rank. The strength of class is around 170. There is a good student teacher ratio. All the faculties are PhD reasearch scholars and they are experts in their respective fields. All the examination in proper time and the results were published in proper time.
Internships Opportunities :
In the 2023 season, 353 paid internship offers were received. The highest stipend was around 2LPA. Mostly internship offers are fore SDE and consulting. In order to get an internship students need to submit their projects.
Placement Experience :
IIT BHU is known for its robust placement offers. It is only new IIT which competes with the old IITs in terms of placement. In the 2023 season around 924 offers were received with major companies visiting the campus like Google, Microsoft, HSBC, Nvidia, etc. The placement percentage is around 80-90 percent. My plans after getting the degree is to get a good placement and continue my career in the corporate sector.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees is quite high even if it is a government institute. It costs around 2.5lakhs per year. I didn't get any scholarship. There are scholarship opportunities for economically weaker people and other castes.
Campus Life :
Life on the IIT BHU campus is vibrant and dynamic. The annual fest of IIT BHU is KashiYatra which is conducted in the month of January every year. The tech fest is TECHNEX which is conducted in the month of March every year. There are innumerous books and journals in the Shreenivas Deshpande Library. There are 4 grounds which host all sports activities including football, volleyball, boxing, basketball etc. There are various clubs in the college including Robotics, COPS, IMC, DFZ etc.
Hostel Facilities :
The rooms in the hostel are shared with 3 people. The meal quality in the hostel mess is average. In the registration process, biometrics are verified. The rooms are a bit compact and not that much spacious.
Admission :
In order to get admitted to an IIT you need to clear the toughest exam in the world, JEE Advanced. After achieving a appreciable rank in JEE Advanced you get the previlege of getting admission in an IIT. The admission occurs through JoSAA portal. The process takes about a month. I got admission in general category. The time for admission process can be reduced.
