Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very up to date. I have strong interest in Mechanics so I opt for mechanical engineering at Punjab Engineering College Chandigarh. The faculty student ratio is 1:40. The faculty is highly qualified.

Class Size: 105Course Fees: INR 160000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The College offers minimum 4 months and maximum 6 months of internship within many domains like core , software, operations, finance, analyst and more. The highest stipend is 1.50 Lakhs / month and DRDO also offer internship.

Placement Experience

The record of campus placement is very high with highest package of 83 LPA and average package of 10 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, AMEX, BMW, Atlassian visits. Percentage placement is 80% and mostly all students got placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees per semester is 86000 and yes there is a lot of scholarship given on the basis of your merit as well as on your economical state. Alumni groups are also very active in order to give scholarships.

Campus Life

The campus area is 150 acres and yes the infrastructure is quite good. There are alot of society and clubs in the college and a student can do alot of activities based on your interest. There is alot of extra curricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

There is hostel facility for other state students. There is single, double and dormatory rooms and given on first come first serve basis. The quality of food is awesome. Rent and mess bill is very affordable.

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Admission

Admission is through the Joint Entrance Examination and after that on the basis of your percentile scored you have to appear for Jossa/CSAB Counseling. On the basis of opening and closing rank you will get your desired branch. 50% seats are reserved for Home state quota

Great exposure, Learning and Placements at CU- A well rounded experience

Placement Experience:

I am a recent graduate in computer science with specialization in artificial intelligence and machine learning. i took admission in CU just because of their excellent placements for the computer science students and what i feel is during my journey they provide i'll not say 100% placements that they guys claimed but yes the placement is really good. the average package is of 7-8 lpa and they offered placements globally like in hyderabad, pune, banglore, noida that are considered as best places to work in IT sector. but in my last year i.e 4th year i have been offered a position of software engineer intern in gurugram and that was off campus so i grabbed that opportunity. and there is one policy of chandigarh university if you opt for off campus placement then you get debarred from the TPP campus placements of chandigarh university and you will not be able to sit in the campus placements of chandigarh university. rest overall the campus placement is good.

The Life in Chandigarh University

Placement Experience:

The placement is the one of the strongest region in this college. From 6th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. From 4th semester,there is placement training program which makes students get ready for interviews, tests in placements. There are prominent companies who visited our college like Microsoft, Google, Infosys, TCS, Wipro etc. The highest package offered by a company is Rs. 54LPA and average placement is Rs.8LPA. 90% of eligible students gets placements. My plans after degree is to study MBA and get into entrepreneurship and business.

form 3rd year college placements get started but student can do side internship by themself in 1st and 2nd year offcampus type , there is no restriction from our college . in 2023 atlasian give highest package of 83 lpa . various companies like microsoft , jp morgan , american express come to PEC for hiring .

Placement Experience:

After the sixth semester, we are eligible for placements. many multinational companies visited for placement such as Amazon, Google, Wipro and many more. The highest package is 36 lack per anum. Around 600 companies offer placement on campus every year.

A TRUSTED COLLEGE FOR A SAFE FUTURE

Placement Experience:

The campus offers good placement in amazon and other high digital online platforms. The placement completely depends on the rank of the students. Many companies such as Amazon and Birla group have visited the college. They also offer good jobs abroad with attractive salaries. Mostly in a year almost 30% of students are placed in job by the college itself. Rest 50% will surely get jobs in good companies if they have good academic statistics. After getting the degree, I would like to get job in foreign country like America and would like to settle there as the college also offers job in abroad.

I was ready to choose btech course (civil engineering ).collage faculty was more than i expected. Collage was more friendly. As in the case of students was very good at college. And also our teachers are more friendly in studies and helping the students in studies.During the examination our teachers works well. And they are able to make the students to score good marks. Collage conduct exams as 4 sections in a year.
