Remarks

I only have good things to say about Ramjas. My overall experience was amazing.

Entrance Preview

Got in on the basis of marks obtained in 12th. I always wanted to do my Graduation in English. Ramjas is one of the most reputed colleges of the Delhi University and it was always my preference. There was no interview, just had to clear the board marks cutoff to make it to the merit list.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The English faculty of Ramjas is the best. There isn’t much practical learning required in literature but I had the best teachers.Researches in English were not an initiative taken up in the college. History and Hindi were my General elective subjects

Internships Opportunities

There was little prospect of internships and most of them were college localized so basically there was no exposure with other colleges. There was probably no stipend amount ,just the LOR and certificates.

Placement Experience

4

I didn’t sit for the placements so I don’t have much idea. But I heard that placements in Ramjas are pretty good as there are many multinational companies that prefer to take Ramjasites. Mostly included jobs in finance, editorship, marketing .

College Events

5

There were no such fests during my time, however we did have college tours which were pretty well organised by the staff and quite affordable . On an average 40-50 students opted for it .

Fee Structure And Facilities

Quite affordable. The entire annual fees was around 10,000Rs all expenses included. Thus, it was quite affordable for most students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not as such.I did not avail any scholarship or loan. This was all to be taken care of by the students themselves.

Campus Life

4

There were debates, seminars quizzes, oratory sessions in the english department. Anyone in college could participate and they were exemplary in every way .

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I don’t know much about the hostels but we do have it's facility in North Campus. I used to stay in an all girls' PG near Vijay Nagar. There were double as well as triple sharing rooms and the amount was about 17000rs including the meal. The quality of food was average, not too good.

Alumni/Alumna

Never interacted with the alumni as nothing of such sort was organized by the college. Although we did come to know about the previous graduates from our colleges placed in good companies .This we were told by our seniors or teachers and no face to face talk or seminar with the alumnis.

Exam Structure

There’s a little pressure obviously. But mostly chill. The pressure was mostly during the exam times but inspite of the workload we were able to do great as the standard of paper was made keeping in mind even average students.

Faculty

5

The faculty is extremely qualified. Very interactive. The standard of teaching was exceptionally good. Moreover, not only were we taught about just the curriculum but got to learn English like a life lesson. All thanks to the teachers!

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral). My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
