Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course as this was this was the best course offered for my rank in the college I wanted to go to. The faculty to student ratio is very good, the faculty is cooperative and helpful. During the first year the exams were easy but came very fast.

Class Size : 180Course Fees : INR 300000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are important for 3rd years here, they prepare really well for their internships. A big plethora of companies offer internships like samsung , Google , Microsoft to name a few. Positions offered are for software development etc.

Placement Experience :

3rd year students are offered internships from companies. Placement is also very good here. The average package for computer science students in 2022 was 45 lakh and even the core branches secure good packages with 70-80% placement on campus.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee is very justified for the facilities the institute provides. Students are provided with good food , faculty and a lot of other benefits which is far more than the fee paid. Great placement opportunities from this college as well. Many people get 1 cr+ packages and placement % of students in even core branches is 70-80%.

Campus Life :

There are many fests organised by the institute which keeps students well engrossed. Spring fest, Kshitij, Illumination fest etc. We have a very big and we'll equipped library. Campus is quite big so students use bicycle for transportation although bus services are also available. I like playing football and there is a big football ground equipped with flood lights and other courts and Gymkhana for others.

Admission :

Admission was through jee mains and advance. Had to score 150+ in mains to go to advance. Two papers in jee advanced and had to score a total of 130+ for a good college and branch. I am from general category so I didn't benefit from any reservations.

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

The highest package was 72 LPA and the average was 8.8 LPA. Almost 70-80% got placed. After getting the degree I want to be a javascript developer

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.

Seeing stcet again through my eyes

Placement Experience:

Students from the 4th-year 7th semester onwards become eligible for all sorts of campus recruitments. Cognizant technology solutions are the principal recruiter. Other companies which used to come during this time include Infosys, Odesha technologies, itc infotech, and others. All these companies generally take many students from our campus. During our time around 88% of students got selected from our batch. Out of which many students got double job offers from cognizant and Infosys. Some got job offers in sonodyne, Vodafone, and other companies. The highest package was offered by cognizant which was about 6 lakhs per annum. An average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum was offered by Infosys followed by itc infotech which offered roughly 4 lakhs per annum. After getting the degree I will pursue Ms maybe or maybe I can opt for MBA too. Also, I can sit for ies exam. Let's see what happens.
