Course Curriculum Overview :

I opted for BE Mechanical Engineering course as it was my dream to become a mechanical engineer. Faculties were very good and provide practical demonstrations for better understanding. Lab facilities were quite good and advanced machinery was also available. In mechanical engineering department the student ratio is like 80:20, i.e 80 boys 20 girls. Each classroom consists of nearly 70 students. All faculties were from technical background only. The HR department is also helpful during placements and internships. The college conducts unit tests twice in a semester before appearing for semester examinations. The test pattern was similar to that of semester examinations, which was actually very helpful in building confidence in students.

Internships Opportunities :

My internship was at AMUL Ltd. For 3 months during my 8th semester. I was an intern in the quality control department. I was offered a stipend of 3k each month. Learned a lot about company policies and quality measurements which has helped me a lot in future.

Placement Experience :

From the 7th semester students are eligible for placements, companies like HCL, Wipro, tech, cognizant, TCS, tata, and sap. etc visit the college. Most were placed at TechMahindra and TCS, nearly 65%. Remaining by others, a total of 78 companies visited the campus in 2015. The highest package was 7 lacs CTC by Infosys from the IT dept back in 2015. I was placed for 4lacs ctc by Tata Bearing.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

My first-year fees were 75k in 2011-12, after that all semester fees were between 37k to 40k including exam fees. There are no certain noticeable hikes in the fees. A total of 4.5lacs was my fees during the 4 years of the course including hostel fees. To avail scholarship facility student has to pass an exam every year with more than 80 percent marks. Educational loan facilities were provided by the college authorities if someone opted for them. The placement process was very good, a total of 3 rounds of placements happened in the final year. I got placed in TATA Bearing in 2015 with a package of 4lacs and 6 months probation period.

Campus Life :

Every year in the month of November, the college hosts an annual fest known as INSIGHT, which comprises cultural, sporting and Gaming events. It was for 5 days which invites participants from other colleges to participate in cultural events. The college has its own playgrounds for badminton, cricket, football, basketball and volleyball. It also has an indoor facility for Table tennis and carrom and also has a swimming pool. Hostel leagues were also hosted between different year students for cricket, football, volleyball and basketball. There were cultural communities from different states who looked after the preservation of ethnicity and cultural ethos among students. All festivals were celebrated by the college including the regional festivals.

Hostel Facilities :

Room facilities are mentioned below:- Triple bedroom 25k per year including food. Double bedroom 32k per year including food. Single bedroom 40k per year including food. 3 days non veg remaining days veg per week. Food quantity is enough and unlimited. The hostel has common washroom in every wing, a common gym, indoor table tennis and carrom facilities. Geysers are installed in every bathroom for hot water. A common TV room and a meeting room is also available. The hostel mess is huge and comprises of more than 100 students at a time. The college is in a remote village away from city, hence hostel students has to take outdoor passes to go out of the campus after college hours and has to return back before 8:30pm. The hostel is totally governed by fathers and sisters of pallotine society. The same facilities are also available in girls hostel also.

Admission :

The college admission process is quite simple, students with AIEEE ranks has to opt for the college through online. After shortlisted candidate will have to go through a basic admission test conducted by the college and a GD round, which was very simple. People from Maharashtra boards can avail scholarship through academic achievements. People from all over India can apply for admission.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester itself. Last year a ton of companies visited the campus right from TCS, Infosys, and Accenture to ZS associates, Veritas, etc. There is a good opportunity for nontech branches also in the college, the package is not high but it is good. According to the college, almost 78% of students got the placements. The highest packages were 45 LPA Amazon, 44 LPA Microsoft, and 36.5 LPA D.E.Shaw. The majority of the placements above 12 LPA were off campus, few were on campus. My plans after getting a degree are to be placed in good company with a good package

Course Curriculum Overview:

All the students are given electives to choose and we also have the compulsory courses too, common for all. The electives could be chosen based on varied interests of students and are very engaging. The compulsory courses are chosen and kept very wisely and are essential for computer science and engineering students. The courses and evaluation plans are very well created and curated for students to be able to solve real world problems too later in professional and personal lives. There aren't much suggestions and areas to improve as of now. Exams and tests are conducted almost every two weeks. This keeps the students keen on learning and practicing all the while and doesn't let them slag in between the semester. The exams are monitored from the headquarters at Pune, and hence all is kept under check and maintained.

As our college provides placement on our Campuses the opportunity to grab placement is quite simple but not much as there is competition among 3 colleges, although the maximum students who get placed through campus placements, is around 60%.
