Course Curriculum Overview :

As I was interested in electronics I chose this course and we had faculties of every individual subject. Their teaching methods are so simple and detailed enough to learn about the subject. All the faculties are highly qualified. we used to have 3 term exams per semester and difficulty levels are moderate.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship had to be arranged by a student monitor along with concerned department faculty. Our internship were short term like a day visit hence no stipend was provided. We had industrial visits to Ashok Leyland, Malco and IIT MADRAS campus to understand our course-related activities involved in their industry.

Placement Experience :

Students can attend the placement interview process from 7th semester onwards. Eligibility varies from company to company. Basic eligibility will be no standing arrears and CGPA -7 & above. During our course year, we had companies like Cognizant, Wipro, Renault and Nissan, Parker Hannifan, CSC, and Nokia are few I could remember. Almost 75% of students got placed while the rest opted for higher studies. The starting package was 3.5LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As I didn't avail of any scholarship I am not aware of it. But I got placed in one of the prime IT industries with a good package. Our college provided campus interviews by many prime companies like Cognizant, Wipro, Renault & Nissan, Parker Hannifin etc.

Campus Life :

The campus is student-friendly and there will be a symposium held for each and every department individually. Even students are allowed to participate in other college tech events. Students have a library facility with a variety of authors for each subject. Sports clubs were there and students had a dedicated time to participate in the same. The classrooms are spacious enough with all requisites.

Hostel Facilities :

One have to apply for hostel and it will be provided on first come first serve basis.Rooms were two sharing with individual cot and study table.Rooms had well aeration and natural lighting. The meals quality were good compared to outside PGs and menu will be changed once per year.Fees may be high but safety is pucca with 24*7 security.

Admission :

I entered the college through the Tamilnadu engineering counselling process. One must have completed the 12th standard to enrol in the counselling procedure As it was one of the top institutes, one must have scored above 95 per cent to opt for their preferred course.

Placement Experience:

It's a name that almost every student get places in this college. They have high placement record. But during recession time it's a bit tough for people to secure good jobs. People having jobs currently are makin sure their job is safe . So now irrespective of college during recession period it's hard to get a good high paying software job. It alll depends on our skill. We need to develop it

Remarks:

The management should take care of the college and should try to improve the surrounding in which it is situated. The higher authorities of the university should visit this campus on a regular basis and should always keep a check on the functioning of the system.
