There is a good atmosphere for students to study.
The canteen and the beaches built in the courtyard is good ambience for students to take rest.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course to my personal interest because electronics engineering has a good opportunity in the future. There are a total of 60 seats for students in the electronics engineering department. The facilities are well qualified for their own subjects. Some of them carry PHDS on specialized topics. The exams are conducted based on the notification from ktu University. They are on proper time.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 38000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There are so many internship opportunities offered. The final year student will do a separate project conducted by the collage as their final year project. There are so many fests conducted by students union named IEEE, IEDC etc.

Placement Experience :

There are so many companies offering job opportunities for candidates who pass out without any supply. The companies offering jobs are Infosys, etc. All the students who get to complete the course without supply will get placed in certain companies. I will also go for the placement offered by the college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees structure are in different types based on the addmission taken. I was admitted through entrance exam and the fee structure is affordable (35000). The other ways are by management quota ( 4.5 lakhs for total course)and through NRI quota (5.6 Lakshmi total). There are several scholarship offered for the students who are in merit offered by the college.

Campus Life :

There are so many fests conducted by the college and the community of students etc. Every year there is a freshers party for the newcomers and there are 2 days for sports conducted by the college. There are several extracurricular activities for the entertainment of students.

Hostel Facilities :

The collage has a good hostel facility. There are enough rooms to accommodate the students. There is a menu for food given. The meal quality is better compared to other hostels. The registration process are through collage office. Compared to other homestay hostel is in affordable rent and the meal quality is good.

Hostel Fee : INR 35000 per year

Admission :

There are several ways to get admitted. I was admitted through the entrance exam (keam). The submission of the application was online. If you want any assistance you can go to the nearest Government engineering college. The application form and other details are given on the KTU site. There are several reservation packages based on caste, a person with a disability, etc.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
