Good college

Dislikes

  • The college location is very isolated. And the transportation facilities are poor and it would be better if the college start encouraging sports and arts activities more.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because it was my dream to be a computer science engineer. The faculties are well trained and educated. Many of the faculties have not graduated. Usually, it is 6 months for a sem, but due to covid restrictions, my first year took 8 months to complete. Exams are quite moderate and if you work hard, you can get good grades for sure.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Talking about the fee structure, it's 41k for the merit seat, 71k for the management quota, and 1 lakh for the NRI quota. But there are various scholarships like Egrants from state government (only for merit seats), MCM scholarship, and many more from the national govt. There is also a cape scholarship.

Campus Life :

College campus life is good. There are many active student organizations like it, etc., and CSI. There is an annual tech fest called Queso Liberum. For the classrooms, I would rate it as average. The library has all the course-related textbooks for sure.

Admission :

Eligibility: 12th pass, Keam, jee. Application forms and other details can be availed from the college website as well as the team website. People with reservation benefits need to submit their respective reservation certificates to avail it. The admission process went smoothly for me.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements starts generally from the seventh semester in the fourth year. Nehru institutions have a lot of hold with multinational companies so a lot of companies like TCS, BPL, Amazon are offering placements to students who have no back papers. The highest package offered by companies is 9lakhs per year and the average salary is 4000/month. Mainly placements are offered to computer science engineering students comparatively.

Placement Experience:

The only student from the 4th year was eligible for campus placements. Every year nearly 88% of students got placed. Our batch was also not an exception. Most jobs were taken up by cse stream followed by our stream. Companies visited included Infosys, Cognizant Technology Solutions,ITC Infotech, Odessa Technologies, and others. The highest package of 5 lakhs was offered by Infosys.Cts offered 4 lakhs highest. The average package offered to all was 3 lakhs per annum.ITC offered 3.6 lakhs per annum. My plan after getting a degree was to join the job of CTS. Then I had dreams of an MBA in the future if possible since it would attract higher packages in the future. Many friends of mine got double offers. There were offers from. Sonodyne, Vodafone also. Since I got a job already,I didn't seat for Vodafone. Vodafone also offered a handsome package of 4 lakhs per annum.ZTE operations also took few students from our college
