- Coming to the most obivous point, the quality of the mess food is not at all good. The have to improve it a lot.
- The next thing is that the university is located in the out skirts of the city which in turn takes too long to travel back home
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have chosen this course because of the placement opportunities(with high salary packages) and the demand it has now. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:12 approx which is actually not bad. All the faculties are PhD graduates and they have years of experience in this field. So obviously the teaching is good. The term exams are moderate. Some of them are difficult, and the rest are moderate. It is not that hard to pass the examination.
Placement Experience :
The students are eligible to attend the placements from the seventh semester. And also the the students with a minimum of 7.5 CGPA are only eligible to attend the placements. Almost all the top companies like Microsoft, and Google recruit students. The highest package package offered was 49 Lakh per annum and the average salary is about 8 Lakhs. Almost more than 80 percent of the students will get placed. For me, I am planning to do my post-graduation after my B.Tech.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure varies according to the slabs. Here we have four slabs that come under scholarship and we also have non-scholarals seats. This depends on how you perform on the entrance examination and how much your percentage score in the examination. The fee structure varies from 1.6 lakhs per annum to 4.5 lakhs per annum depending on the slab. Compared to the other top universities across the country, this one is better and more affordable.
Campus Life :
The annual fest is conducted in the month of March. It is a national-level tech fest called Vidyut which is one of the biggest events. The library is a pretty big one with all the required books and is compatible with the strength of the university. The classrooms are fully equipped with smart boards and all the required amenities. And we also have many extracurricular activities including sports. We also have plenty of clubs which are handled by the students.
Hostel Facilities :
You'll have all the basic facilities in the hostel rooms and we also have a fitness center attached to the hostel which is pretty necessary. The meal quality is not that good and I would say that it's not worth it. The registration process for the hostel is quite simple. You can probably do it in a few minutes. I would say that it is affordable compared to the other top universities. As per the university's rule, you cannot rent a room outside(PG).
Admission :
The Students who secure more than 60 percent in the boards are eligible to take the university's entrance examination. You can find the application form on the university's official website amrita.edu. I am not sure about the reservation benefits, but you can refer to them on the university's official website. The admission process is a simple but lengthy process. You'll have to wait for the counseling.
