awesome college. roorkee college of engineering is the best engineering college i have encountered. and i feel blessed to be a part of it. no more words about the college. as its excellence is enough to say much about the college's beauty and strength.
Entrance Preview :
I gave IIT JEE exam after my 12th. and I opted for this college because I have heard much about this particular college. it was also near to my house which made me so glad that I could be able to study in such a good college near my hometown. one or two of my relatives have also studied from this college and are doing great jobs in the corporate sector. so it enhanced my chance of taking admission in this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
the college curriculum is very good. equal importance is given to the theoretical knowledge and practical skills. we have practical classes of all the subjects so that whatever we learn in the class, students are able to learn how it is incorporated in the outside world. I was very glad to know such a course curriculum here, which we do not get in other colleges. also, we have regular classes, and none of the class is kept free so as to make students gain more and more knowledge.
Internships Opportunities :
yes roorkee college of engineering do provides the internship opportunities for the students. in all the branches of the b.tech students complete their internship from the outside and the college gives them the recommendation letter on the basis of which they can do their internship easily from their. roorkee college of engineering has a separate training and placement cell that takes care of the placement of the students and for the internship.
Placement Experience :
Roorkee college of engineering started in 2010 and from that time it had advanced a lot in terms of everything, be it placement or strength. everything. our college has a training and placement cell which continuously works for providing students the best placement. apart from the students who choose for higher studies our college provides 100% placement to students and that also at a very good package. i have also been placed and i thank roorkee college of engineering for that.
College Events :
there are many events that are going all around the year in college. there are some events that are totally organized by the students, the funds are collected by the students through various sponsors such as cafe coffee day (CCD), dominos, pizza hut and so on. these sponsors then put their stalls during the event time. after that there are some events that are organised by the college such as our UTKARSH. this is a 3 day event in which their is scholarship distribution to the meritorious students, cultural events and one of the best event is the DJ night in which Bollywood celebrities are called and they perform for the students. it is full enjoyment. apart from that the whole year, we have small events for sports and other activities as well apart from the studies. but the best part. studies are not affected by these events.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
fee structure is highly feasible of roorkee college of engineering. there are other private colleges that charge such an enormous fees that only high class students are able to study their. but in roorkee college of engineering, the fees pattern is kept in such a way that the students from all economic categories can study here. in b.tech we have minimal fees of 80000 per year excluding the hostel, which is very marginal. and in b.sc we have fees of 90000 per year including the hostel.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
sholarship is given every year to the meritorious students who have got 75% in their academics. also all the year round their are many competitions going on which have various cash prizes. also the students have a choice to submit a part of their fees at the starting and can submit the other fees when the conditions are favourable. it is very feasible for the students who cannot afford the complete fees at a time.
Campus Life :
Campus life is very cool. the environment is very soothing. no extra work or burden. the college is also situated at the side of river ganga. therefore it makes the environment very calm. also the students here are very good. if some students try to create indiscipline inside the campus, the management here takes care of it immediately and takes strict action towards it, so that no other students tries to do that thing the other time. also the campus is very safe for the girls as we have separate cell for women safety. if any girl faces some kind of problem due to any factor, she can straight away come to the women help cell and her problems would be sorted out immediately.
Hostel Facilities :
Roorkee college of engineering has provided us with a very good hostel facility. when i was in class 12th, i was so home sick that i could not go to other relatives home as well. it was a great concern for my family that i would i go out for my further studies.. but after coming to roorkee college of engineering, i felt a lot better. it took me some time to adjust but the faculty and management here is so cooperating that i felt home like. the food that roorkee college of engineering provides in the hostel is so awesome that we just want to grab that food. we have heard of students saying bad things about the other college hostel food. but here was a totally different condition. the food here is so good, that we even forget to go canteen. on a whole roorkee college of engineering is a complete package of studies and entertainment.
Alumni/Alumna :
alumini network is very high. we get great knowledge from our seniors. also the seniors are very helpful in jobs. as if we want to switch jobs sometime and we have our seniors present their, he/she will surely help us in getting job there.
Exam Structure :
Exam structure is very easy and beneficial. we have two mid terms, for 100 marks each and then if due to any problem students are unable to give both the mid terms, there is a provision for the makeup examination by the help of which the students can makeup some of their marks. then we have internal practicals as well as the external practicals. in internal practicals students are able to get the idea how the practicals can go on in the external practicals. in a nutshell. roorkee college of engineering has an exam patter similar to the Uttarakhand Technical University.
Admission :
I gave the exam of IIT JEE as i have already stated in the previous question. after that my rank was not that high that i could get an IIT of NIT. but my rank was quite good enough to get a very good private engineering college. and one of my relative has stated that its uncommon, but you get good education in private colleges as their faculty is dedicated enough to provide the students with quality education. Government institutes sometimes lack that dedication as the faculty has their jobs secure whether they teach or not. so after the exam in UTU counselling i had to chose between some college and i definitely chose roorkee college of engineering. and thats the complete procedure how i got admission in this college.
Faculty :
Roorkee college of engineering has the best faculty from all over. we have professors from renowned government universities like IIT's, Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Jamia Milia Islamia, and many others. they have a very good way of teaching. also, the faculty is very cooperating. they understand all our problems and try to make us understand a particular subject very easily. also, they spare their extra time on us if we have any sort of doubt on any subject. also, the faculty of Roorkee college of Engineering gives us continuous motivation to do great jobs in future and never get hopeless in any situations of life.
