Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because of my interest. The student-faculty ratio is around 1:100. The professors are highly qualified and have very interesting teaching methods. There is one mid-sem and one end sem and the difficulty of exams depends on the subjects.

Class Size : 100Course Fees : INR 289000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Our fees are around 289000 per year but the college provides a lot of scholarships like merit cum means scholarship and fee waiver and many other scholarships. One can also avail interest-free loan from SBI Bank located inside our campus.

Campus Life :

Khitij is our tech fest and Spring Fest is our annual fes. We have Asia's largest library. We can take part in any sports of our interests and we are also trainers. A lot of societies and clubs are also in our college such as the business club, Ecell.

Hostel Facilities :

Each room has a bed, chair, table, and a cupboard. Food quality is also so good and we have a variety of foods on our menu. The registration process is also very simple and is carried out by our wardens and security.

Hostel Fee : INR 60000 per year

Admission :

The admission occurs through Jee mains and Jee advanced. The application form for mains opens during December and costs around 650 INR if you qualify for Jee Mains then you can sit for Jee Advanced and the application for Jee Advanced costs INR 3000.

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.

Seeing stcet again through my eyes

Placement Experience:

Students from the 4th-year 7th semester onwards become eligible for all sorts of campus recruitments. Cognizant technology solutions are the principal recruiter. Other companies which used to come during this time include Infosys, Odesha technologies, itc infotech, and others. All these companies generally take many students from our campus. During our time around 88% of students got selected from our batch. Out of which many students got double job offers from cognizant and Infosys. Some got job offers in sonodyne, Vodafone, and other companies. The highest package was offered by cognizant which was about 6 lakhs per annum. An average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum was offered by Infosys followed by itc infotech which offered roughly 4 lakhs per annum. After getting the degree I will pursue Ms maybe or maybe I can opt for MBA too. Also, I can sit for ies exam. Let's see what happens.
