  • some exceptional teaching memeber with poor teaching methods.
  • too much crowd, too much strictness of guards to not let students roam around outside their hostels.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The student-faculty ratio is good enough and each member of the faculty has Phd degree along and excellent hands-on experience in the teaching field. Some teachers rely heavily on the use of PPTs and Online content so there are some, very-little bad exceptions in faculty otherwise the board is excellent. Labs are conducted by different faculty members as compared to class lectures. The mid-term exams commenced on 25/09/23 just 1.5 months after the commencement of classes and the exam pattern and assessment level are quite high and tough as compared to my previous institute where I did my bachelor's.

Internships Opportunities :

There are not a lot of internship opportunities provided for MCA students as I've also asked my seniors and passed-out students. There are maybe some startups that are willing to provide some intern offers to MCA students and that too is sometimes not paid. Most of the students have to work on their own and find internship offers. One of the passed-out students got a Python engineer intern offer at Myananta Technologies, Gurgaon. Aside from this, the internship scenario is not as good as it is expected.

Placement Experience :

A lot of companies like Amazon, Microsoft, JP Morgan Chase Co., Adobe, Airbnb, Axis Bank, Barclays, Celebel, Cisco, etc. visit the institute and provide job opportunities for various roles and positions. The average package goes around 9-11 Lakhs per annum and the highest for my course students recorded is around 19 Lakhs per annum. The whole placement scenario for the MCA department revolves around the factor of competition with BTech/BE students and student skillsets and potential. Around 60-70% of students get placed on-campus and the remaining either go for off-campus or further higher studies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees for MCA courses at Thapar University are generally high as compared to other nearby institutes and national institutes as it is 1,02,700 per semester which makes it 2,05,400 per year. So, the fees can be quite difficult to afford for some students but the university has provided a scholarship scheme for MCA students in which awardees will get 40,000 per annum if they get more than 8 GPA plus stand out among the top 10% academic performers of the class.

Campus Life :

There's also Saturna, Thapar food fest, and Urja event which are very popular. Aside from this, Thapar University also has a central library called Navi Nalanda Central Library which is a very mesmerizing and aesthetic piece of infrastructure constructed with the help of internationally renowned architecture. The central library has a lot of books and journals available to students plus a very spacious sitting and reading area with tons of facilities like an RFID barcode security system, a Self-check-in and check-out system, and a self-book-return system with minimum human interference.

Admission :

The admission process for the MCA course at Thapar University is very straightforward and does not require going through any entrance exam. The application form is made available around March of every year and found on the institute's main website:- www.thapar.edu > admissions tab, register or log in with an email address. After successfully filling out the online application form, and paying a sum of 1500 INR as application fees, the student has to wait for an email confirmation from the institute which will direct the students through the whole process of digitally submitting documents, paying tuition fees, and submitting receipt and commencement dates for classes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate LPU's course curriculum as less relevant and not that much comprehensive. Some course curriculum don't strikes a good balance between theory and practical appliation, but not for all there are some courses which are perfectly designed.

Placement Experience:

At LPU, students can take advantage of placement services with a one-time payment of ?10,000. This includes additional training sessions beyond regular academics, specifically aimed at building the skills needed for placements. Students become eligible for placements from the middle of the 2nd semester, which gives them plenty of time to prepare and work on their professional skills. LPU has a strong placement record with many well-known companies visiting campus, such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and Capgemini. The highest packages offered can reach impressive numbers, especially in top tech roles, while the average package for most students is quite competitive compared to other private universities. The exact figures for the highest and average packages can vary each year, but they typically provide a decent return on investment for students. A large percentage of students secure jobs through campus placements, thanks to the university's extensive company network and support services. My own plan after graduation is to land a good job in the tech field, and I feel that the skills and support from LPU will help me reach that goal.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Teacher method are good but if we talk about exam there is so many CA's and along with mid term and end term ...if they want to take ca they should also make a routine for that because any teacher can take their CA any time so that ifyou have 2 or 3 Ca in a single you didn't get enough time for the preparation.

This college is a good college for those who are intelligent but not get secure own seats for admission due to any reason. So I think this is a good college. Teaching and syllabus are sufficient for campus placement.that's all. The placement record is also good.
