Course Curriculum Overview :

I loved biology as a student very much and especially as an animal lover I chose zoology. The student ratio is about 1:6, Every professor has a doctorate in their particular field with a minimum experience of 5 years and the method of their teaching is very skilled. 2 exams per semester.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 2071 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Wipro, Techno, Many projects are upcoming like the campaign to eradicate poverty and seminars to welcome cheetahs in the Alipore Zoological Garden. Also, many Kanyashree campaigns are done on a regular basis so that every girl. gets an education.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The state government does not have any intention to determine the fee structures of private schools, education minister Bratya Basu made it clear on Tuesday. The fee regulatory commission, approved by the state, will merely monitor tuition fee hikes, look into complaints over raising fees, and check if government decisions are being followed by private schools. Campus Life :

Cultural fest and annual fest take place in November and August. Bethune has one of the oldest and biggest libraries consisting of rare books. Classrooms have smartboards. Sports cell is very active. Anti-ragging and financial help cell.

Admission :

Eligible for candidates with a science background in 10+2 with a minimum percentage of 50%. The application form can be found in the official admission portal of Bethune. For reserved candidates the eligibility criteria min percentage would become 45%. Yes, the upgradation of the portal is highly needed and it stays hanged.

The Course curriculum & faculty members are quite good, 1st of all I have preferred Bsc Biotech because of my extreme interest in genetic engineering & upcoming situations of Covid 19. Also, this subject has a possibility for a Blooming future in the upcoming days of the Pandemic/epidemic. The Faculty in This college is quite good & The laboratory benefits & materials are also Supportive & workable, This college provides one of the oldest Biotech labs in West Bengal. The student ratio is also balanced. Saying about Qualification of the faculty, The Professors have atleast 6-10 yrs of teaching exp and research performs in their career, they are all friendly & supportive and helps us to explore more in this subject The term exams are Moderate & have standard questions.

Remarks:

This college still today stands to be among the first choice of every student in the hooghly district and 2nd in the Burdwan University. The only negative part is that this college has a very high political presence in the campus. Though the present government said that they oppose such strong political holds in colleges but still this words has not been kept.
