Course Curriculum Overview :

I love structures, any close structures and I also love to analyze structures that's why I chose civil engineering. Here faculty: the student ratio is near 1:10. Everyone has a doctorate, and some of them are scientists also. Most of them are highly experienced, knowledgeable, caring, and supportive in nature. There are two types of exam one is mid-term and the other is end-term in a semester, and also in every lab have viva and every class have a special CA test.

Internships Opportunities :

Many students get internships after 4th semester. In many top companies, our college students get internships at Amazon, Flipkart, and other companies. Before placement, everyone already gets some experience of corporate life which helps students to fit them in corporate life.

Placement Experience :

From 6th semester students are eligible for campus placement. Almost every top company visited among them some are Amazon, Microsoft, Flipkart, etc. The highest package of NIT Durgapur this year is 70lpa and the average is 13.46lpa. More than 85% of students get placement. After my degree, I thought of higher education.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

If you come from the general category and your family income is more than 5lacs in years then you have to pay probably 80000 in the semester and a hostel fee probably 19000. If you are from SC, ST, or PWD categories then you get a scholarship for which you do not have to pay tuition fees. If you are from OBC or the general category and your family income is less than 1lacs in years then you also get a scholarship for which you do not have to pay tuition fees.

Campus Life :

The two big fests in NIT Durgapur are Recstacy and Arohan. Arohan is an annual tech fest and it's the biggest tech fest in eastern India. Recstacy is an annual cultural fest that is conducted in April and Arohan is conducted in March first or February end. In NIT Durgapur has a Central Library having a vast collection of books where you can find whatever you want. Every year there is an annual sports function where every type of sport is played.

Hostel Facilities :

In the hostel room, you get a bed and a study table with a chair, cupboard, bedding things you have to carry. In the hostel, you get wifi facilities. And also you get a mess with hostel which provide you 3-time food. In a mess, meal quality is not good but you choose veg or non-veg. In the hostel, you have to pay probably 19000 rupees. Total registration for the hostel will be conducted in a hostel on the ground.

Hostel Fee : INR 38000 per year

Admission :

If you want to come to NIT Durgapur or other NITs then first you have to clear JEE main.JEE mains conducted by NTA in a year it conducted 2 times, in any of them if your rank is good then you are able to get any NIT. If you are from SC, ST, or PWD categories then you get a full tuition fee waiver and if you are from the OBC category then you also get a full tuition fee waiver if your family income is less than 1lacs or if you are from OBC and your family income from 1lacs to 5lacs then you get 2/3 tuition fees waiving and you from general and your family income less than 1lacs then your total fees also waived.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

College was good in terms of studies and many more. But now it fails in giving placement. Most of the students are still unemployed. Only 30% of the students are placed from college. Others have to find there own jobs.

One of the good colleges.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
