- I liked the fee that this government college provide because its very helpful for the people who cant afford more fee like private colleges.
- Public transport and government transport is free because it is provided by college a pass which we can travel freely and not pay anything.
Dislikes
- I dont like the infrastructure inside the college campus because its very old and no new facilities are available.
- Placement is also not good and i dont like it because very few companies are called and sometimes no company.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because it's a very rare and professional course and by this course, one can know about the earth and living things and know our history, and learning about our own history is very special. The student ratio is 55 for the UG course for bsc geology. Every teacher in the faculty is very qualified and they know literally everything about the source and course. Exams were divided into internal, model, and main semester. Internals and model exams were always easy but the semester will be quite tough unlike model and internals.
Internships Opportunities :
We are alloted to some basic geology companies but no stipend will be given. There are no special things to say in the internship. The only good thing is that we can know about the course practically. Internships will be conducted in many geology companies in the state and it can be given anywhere and there are no special companies available for the course. Very few will participate in the internship and not many because it is quite difficult to find companies for the course we choose and many of them never know about the experience.
Placement Experience :
During the 6th semester students are eligible for the campus placements but many some of the companies will come and its very quite difficult for us to place because only a small chance is available for the placement. My plan is to finish bsc and do MSc in some other college. So I plan to take the UCET exams and clear for studying in universities. After doing my MSc I plan to write some government exams to go into GSI and also I'll write some government competitive exams and try to clear them so that I cannot miss any opportunities.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The cost of study is very affordable for everyone because it's a government college. The fee structure for a year comes to only 1300rs and it is affordable compared to many colleges. Every student in the college studies here because of the fee structure and sort of education. Campus interviews are not so good to say because a very small amount of companies will come to the college for the campus and only a few are selected. Many people will only go out and search for private companies for jobs.
Campus Life :
There is no fest conducted in the college because of some personal college Reasons The only fest conducted is on Pongal celebration and it will be done in only a short time. A library for every department is available and it is very great that every book is old and every sort of special book is available in the college. No type of special amenities will be available because it is an old building and it cannot restored. Sports and extracurricular activities will be conducted and there will be a sports meet every year in which students can participate. There are many clubs in our college like RSP, NSS, rotary club, green club, and many others.
Admission :
Eligibility of the course is quite simple only 55% marks are needed in the science group in 12th standard and the application form is not provided offline. You can only apply online via tngasa a government website for all government colleges. The admission process i good and no problem can be faced but there is a simple issue of finding the places inside the campus and it is quite hard for us to know the place of the Admission process because for every department different places will be there for the admission.
