Course Curriculum Overview

4

CCE (Computer and Communication Engineering) is a course that explores both Computer engineering and communication technology. It is said to be a futuristic course with high scope in future. The faculty-student ratio is very fair. 1:8 is the Faculty: Student ratio. M.Tech is the minimum qualification of faculty with some experience as a lab assistant or so. Teaching is done through whiteboards and PowerPoint presentations. Term exams always have sufficient time but the difficulty of exams would be moderately hard. Our university sets question papers such that it covers every topic in the course. It's generally tougher to get a higher CGPA at Amrita University.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Microsoft, CodingNinjas, and Coding Saathi provide Internships at the college. Ranging from 1.25 lakh per month to 10k a month. Every student has to do a project in their final 4th year which comprises 10 credits. There are more than 10 Program Outcomes that would bring the best out of an engineer and Course outcomes for each course.

Placement Experience

4.5

Students become eligible for campus placements by the end of the 6th semester. Many companies such as TCS, Microsoft, Intel, Atlassian, Cisco and Bosch visit the campus. More than 1,200 offers have been given by companies in the year 2023. 97% of students got placed on this campus in the year 2023, although that was the first batch from this campus to pass out. I intend to go for higher studies in a field that interests me.

Fees and Financial Aid

A hike in fees is seen due to the higher demand for engineering courses at Amrita University. All Labs are perfectly built, and well equipped. Amrita University provides Scholarships based on rankings and the seat for the course you have got. There are 3 Scholarship schemes and 1 non-scholarship scheme.

Campus Life

3

The annual Tech Fest is Tantrotsav and it is conducted on April of every year. Mostly all textbooks and books related to Engineering and technology are only available. Classrooms have a projector and a whiteboard. They are well-lit naturally and have good air circulation too. The classrooms are arranged in a step-wise manner so the teacher could focus on the students even at the last benches. Sports such as cricket, badminton, volleyball and Basketball ball are played on campus and have a team respectively for each of them. We have 3 tech clubs - AM foss, Cognizance, and Neuronix. All are organised and run by students, teaching the other members about AI, Cybersecurity, Web development etc.

Admission

Based on AE, JEE and PUEE exams your mark is considered and put into a rank list. You will be allotted seats as per your preferences in accordance with your rank. amrita.edu is the website for admission forms. Rest all of the admission procedure takes place in the AOAP portal. Faster allotment process, they take a lot of time to allot seats.
